Overview
Congratulations on purchasing your new IR328 / WL197 illuminator. This light-weight and
compact IR328 / WL197 illuminator is the most powerful, yet fully eye-safe LED illuminator on
the market today.
The newly invented ultra high power LEDs and Plano-Convex Matrix lens assembly ensure the
maximum illumination distance. It is the perfect way to maximize the viewing range of your
night vision and gives an overall boost in security performance.
IR328 / WL197 illuminators are specifically designed to maximize thermal efficiency throughout
the unit. The optimum thermal management maintains low LED operating temperature, thus
resulting in long projected working life up to 10 years.
IR328 / WL197 illuminators use high efficiency LEDs and advanced control methods to deliver
extremely low electrical consumption. They are energy saving and deliver huge savings in
running costs compared to traditional bulb illuminators together with zero maintenance. Some of
the design features are;

Precautions & Handling
▪ Operation
The factory setting is Auto mode (on/off by photo diode). For other modes of operation, the 3-way switch
located at the back of unit may be repositioned accordingly. Connect power cable to the circular
connector and refer to connector pin map for wiring.
▪ Storage
Do not use or store the illuminator outside the specified temperature conditions or where it is subject to
strong vibration.
▪ Cleaning
Remove foreign object on connector.
Remove soil, dust, or foreign object from external surfaces of the product using a soft cloth.
Use alcohol-based cleaning solvents such as isopropyl alcohol to clean, if necessary.
▪ Precaution
Do not apply excessive voltage (Use only the specified voltage). Otherwise, you may get an electric shock
or a fire may occur.
In case of abnormal operation/ fault symptoms, contact your authorized iluminar dealer.
