General Information

This Wide Angle Port replaces the housing's original 3.9” front port and
is not removable underwater. The o-ring seal is visible through the inside
of the housing. Installation requires a strap wrench, not included.
Once the Wide Angle Port has been installed, 67mm threaded external
accessory lenses may be removed and replaced underwater.

Port Removal and Installation

A strap wrench will be needed to remove and install ports on your Ikelite
housing.
Ikelite offers strap wrench 0945.01 through any Ikelite authorized dealer.

Lightly lubricate the port o-ring with the supplied Ikelite lubricant. DO
NOT use excessive lubricant which can attract debris and prevent a
good seal. Use ONLY Ikelite lubricant. Other brand lubricants can cause
the o-ring to swell and not seal properly.

Port Removal

1. Facing the front of the housing,

as close to the port as possible.

3. Rotate the Handle counter-clockwise
to loosen and remove the port,

Port Installation

1. Facing the front of the housing, attach the Wide Angle Port to the

housing by rotating port clockwise into the port hole opening until snug.

2. Place a Strap Wrench over the housing port.

3. Tighten Strap so the Handle is as close to the port as possible.

4. Rotate the Handle clockwise to tighten port, Diagram B. Tighten until a
good o-ring seal (dark circular line) can be seen from inside the housing,

Checking the O-ring Seal

1. After you have properly attached the Wide Angle Port and checked the o-ring
seal, replace the housing back WITHOUT a camera attached.

2. Place the housing in shallow water such as a bathtub or swimming pool.

3. After a couple minutes, remove and dry the housing completely.

4. Before opening the housing, look to see if any water droplets are inside.

5. If no droplets are present, remove the housing back and check again for
droplets. If none are present, then the housing is watertight and safe for
diving. If ANY water is present inside the housing DO NOT dive. Repeat the
Port Removal and Installation process until no water is present.

- Before attaching a housing port, always double-check the o-ring and sealing
surfaces to make sure there is no debris present which could cause a leak.

Maintenance and Storage

After using the Wide Angle Port in water (especially saltwater), rinse with
fresh tap water and dry with a soft non-abrasive cloth. Wipe the surface
of the port lens gently with the soft non-abrasive cloth to prevent debris
buildup that can cause spotting. Use only water and a non-abrasive mild
soap solution to clean the port lens.

Caution: Do not attempt to dry the housing or port by exposing it to heat
from a hair dryer, radiator, etc. This could damage either.

Store the port in a cool, dry place with the port cover attached. Place in a
resealable plastic bag for short and long term storage.

DO NOT store any accessory lens attached to a housing port.
Temperature changes can make the lens hard to remove from the port
and cause accidental removal of the port.

Limited Warranty

This Ikelite product is warranted against any manufacturing defects for a
period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. Defective
products should be returned to Ikelite postage paid. Ikelite will, at its sole
discretion, repair or replace such products, and will return to customer
postage paid. All other claims of any nature are not covered. Except as
mentioned above, no other warranty expressed or implied applies to this
Ikelite product.

provided to obtain warranty service.
No prior authorization is required. You may return directly to us or
through your dealer. Please include a brief description of the problem,
any relevant email correspondence, and/or instructions on what you

For the separate international customs documentation form that you
complete to accompany the shipment, please state or designate that the
enclosed products were originally manufactured in the USA and are
being returned to the manufacturer for repair service. Value of the
