2. Installation
Ventilation
For proper ventilatio n ke ep the back of the refrigerator 4 inc he s away from the wall. Give the refrigerator side s 8 in ches, and the overhead at least 12 in ch es of clearance from obstruction.
Power Supply
The refrigerator can on ly o perate using a single phase alter na ting current (see the rating label). If the voltage of y ou r power supply varies, it is recomm en ded to utilize an A.C. automatic voltage reg ul ator. This refri ge ra tor uses a 3-pronged plug with a gr ou nd ing prong and therefore mus t be u sed with a corresponding 3-slot o ut le t to accommodate the grounding prong.
Power Cord
The cord should be neithe r le ngthened nor folded into a coil dur in g operation. The co rd should be kept clear of any h ot s urfaces near the unit's compres so r. It is not recommended that an extension cord be u se d with this unit. The app li ance should be positioned in a fashion that leaves the p lu g easily accessible.
Protection from Moisture
Avoid pl ac ing the refrigerator in a place whe re h eavy moisture is present to minim iz e the possibility of oxidat io n or rusting of the metal pieces. The refrigerator should ne ve r be directly sprayed with w at er.
Protection from Heat
The refrigerator should be kept away from any heat source or direct sunlight.
Placement of the Unit
The surface on which the refrigerator will be placed must be flat and solid. It should not be laid on any soft material such as foam, plastic, etc. The feet of the refrigerator can be adjusted to make a solid connection with the placement surface.
Do not place the unit near any volatile combustibles such as gas, petrol, alcohol, lacquer, etc. The above-mentioned items cannot be stored in the refrigerator.
Moving
Whether during movement or in placement, the refrigerator can not be tilted more than 45° from the upright position nor can it be placed upside-down.

3.USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
Temperature Control
1.The first time you turn the unit on, set the temperature control to the “7” position.
2.The settings for the temperature control are “0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7”. After 20 minutes, adjust the temperature control setting to “4”. The setting of “4” should be sufficient for home or office use.
3.To stop the cooling cycle, turn the temperature control to “0”.

THERMOSTAT CONTROL DIAL
NOTE: Turning the temperature control to the “0” position stops the cooling cycle, but does not shut off the power to the refrigerator.
If the unit is unplugged, turned off, or if power to the unit is lost, you must wait 5 minutes before restarting the unit. If you attempt to restart before this time, the refrigerator may not start.
Store this appliance in the coolest area of the room. This can help save energy. If the room's temperature is too high, the temperature in the refrigerator may not reach the target temperature.

4. Precautions

Defro st ing is do ne m anual ly. Wh en defros ting, set t he knob of th e tempera ture regu lator to po sition “0” (wh er e the com pressor w ill stop cy cling) an d leave the d oor open un til ice and f rost diss olve thoro ug hly. To spee d up defros ting, you m ay put a bowl o f warm wate r (about 50 °C) into th e unit. After d ef rosti ng , be sure t o re-set th e tempera ture cont rol knob to t he origin al positi on.
Do not us e ho t water o r ha ir drye r while def rosting . Use of thes e items may c ause defo rmation o f the inner c as e of the un it.
Do not sc ra pe ice, f ro st, or fo od with sha rp tools. This may d amage the i nner casi ng or the sur face of the uni t.
If the po we r cord of t hi s appli ance is dam aged, it mu st only be re placed by a p rofessi onal or a rep air shop su gg ested b y th e manuf acturer.
Never a ll ow chil dren to ope rate, pla y with, or cr awl insid e the appli ance.

5.Reversing the Door
This refrigerator has t he c apability of either opening the d oo r from the left or right side. This unit is delivered to you wi th t he door opening from the left side. S ho uld you desire to reverse the direction , pl ease follow these instruction s.
Refer to the following il lu stration for assistance.
Note: All removed pa rt s mu st be saved for reinstallation of the door.
1.Remove the upper hing e ca p (1).
2.Using a pry-tool, rem ov e the plug buttons (5).
3.Remove the two Philli ps s crews (2) that connect the upper hi ng e (3) on the right side of the cabinet top.
4.Carefully lift the do or a nd place it on a padded surface to prev en t scratching.
5.Remove the plug (9) and t ra nsfer it to the uncovered hole on the r ig ht side of the unit. Be sure to press the button fi rm ly into the hole.
6.Remove the two bolts (7 ) th at hold the lower hinge (4) on the righ t si de of the unit.
7.Remove the screw-ty pe l eveling front leg (8) and transfe r it t o the right side as shown in the adjacent figure.
8.Set the door into it's ne w pl ace making sure the pin enters the bu sh ing at the lower frame section (hole).
9.Secure the upper hing e (3 ) previously removed in step 3 on the l ef t side of the unit. Make sure the pin enters the bus hi ng on the upper frame section (hole ).
10.Loosely secure the l ow er left hinge (4) and do not tighten th e bo lts until the door is in the closed position and lev el ed.
11.Insert the plug buttons (5) on th e un co vered holes (right side).
12.Replace the upper hi ng e cap (1).

6.Maintenance
The refrigerator shou ld b e cleaned and maintained at least o nc e a month.
When performing maint en ance, make absolutely sure that t he p ower plug is first
disconnected from the p ow er outlet.
Wipe the inner and outer surface o f th e re frigerator and its accessor ie s wi th a wet cloth. If they are too dirty, sc rub them with a neutral detergent and then clean them with w at er and dry them with a clean cloth . A small amount of glass w ax m ay be used to polish the refrigerator surfac e.
For cleaning, don't use h ot w ater, g as oline, alcohol, kerosene, cle an ser, al kaline detergent, acid, chemical cloth, e tc ; so as not to damage the lacquer coa t an d pl astics. Never spray the refrigerator direct ly w ith water. This ma y ca us e rusting or may weaken the insul at io n.
Be sure to always keep the ru bb er seals of the door clean.
If the plastic parts in the r ef rigerator stay contaminated b y di rt or oil for long periods of
time, the will age quickl y an d may crack. The drai n pa n ge ts dirty easily and if it is not cleaned regularly, it may produce odors. Be sure to c le an t his pan regularly.

7.Trouble shooting
1.If the refrigerator i s no t working: a. Check to see if there is a pow er f ailure. b. Check to be sure that the pl ug i s connected to the power outlet. c. Check to be sure that a fuse h as n ot blown.
2. If the refrigerator is c oo ling excessively: a. The temp er at ure control dial may be set too hig h. b. If you place foods conta in ing high amounts of moisture dire ct ly under the cool air outlets, they will freeze easily. This does not in di cate a malfunction.
3.If the refrigerator i s no t cooling sufficien tl y: a. The food m ay b e pa cked too tightly together whi ch w il l block the flow of cool air. b. If hot foods are placed in t he r efrigerator, this will alter the tempe ra tu re inside the unit. c. The door m ay n ot h ave been closed properly. d. The door g as ke ts may be damaged. e. The refr ig er ator may not be ventilated well e no ug h. f. There ma y no t be s ufficient clear an ce between the refrigerator and o th er surfaces. Ensure there is proper clearan ce o n both the sides and top of the unit.Th e te mperature control dial may not be set properly.
4.If defrosting water o ve rflows inside the refrigerato r an d/ or onto the floor: a. Check to ensure that the d ra in pipe and the drain hose are not obst ru cted. b. Check to ensure that the d ra in pan is housed properly.
5.If the front of the refri ge rator cabinet heats up: a. In order to safeguard ag ai nst condensation, these is an ant i- condensation pipe that heats the front of the cabinet wh il e running. A warm cabinet fro nt d oe s not indicate a malfunction.
6.If the side panels of the r ef rigerator cabinet heat up: a. The side p an el s of the cabinet may heat up when the d oo r is o pened or closed frequently, when starting the unit, a nd w hen the unit operates in high ambie nt t emperatures. Th is i s does not indicate a malfu nc tion.
7.If condensation for ms o n the outside of the refrigerator : a. Condensation may for m on t he outside of the unit when there is hi gh a mbient humidity. This does not indicate a ma lf unction and the condensation ca n be w iped dry with a dry cloth.
8.If you hear a sound like wa te r flowing: a. A sound like water f lo wi ng indicates that the refrige ra nt i s flowing. This doe s no t in dicate a malfunction.
