AT A GLANCE
Important: This appliance is not intended for use by persons including children with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
Ensure that the electricity supply in your home is rated at 220 - 240 volts before operating the appliance.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Always unplug the appliance before attempting to move it.
There are no user serviceable parts inside this appliance. Always contact a
qualified electrician.
This appliance has been fitted with a ground plug. Please ensure the power socket is earthed.
Do not use outdoors.
To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord,
plug, or in water or other liquid
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cooling before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
The use of accessory not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
Operate on a firm, flat surface out of reach of children.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
To disconnect, turn any control to “Off”, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold
the plug. Never pull the cord.
Some parts of appliance are hot when operated, so do not touch with hand. Use handles only.
Do not let the kettle operate without water.
Avoid contact with steam from spout during or after boiling.
Take care when pouring boiling water.
If the kettle is filled past the ‘MAX’ level, boiling water may spill out.
Ensure the lid is firmly closed and do not open the lid whilst boiling.
Cleaning
Before using the kettle for the first time it is recommended that you boil a full kettle of water twice to remove impurities.
1) Switch the kettle off, disconnect from the power and allow it to cool down.
2) Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove minor stains.
3) Chemicals, detergents or any abrasive cleaning powder, pads or polish of any kind must not be used as they can damage the kettle.
4) It is recommended that this product is cleaned regularly with a household descaler to maintain its performance.

Operating the Kettle
Before using the kettle for the first time it is recommended that you boil a full kettle of water twice and discard the water to remove any impurities.
1) To fill the kettle, remove the plug from the power socket and remove the lid. Fill the kettle with only the amount of water you need, Do not fill the kettle passed the MAX level mark as this may cause boiling water to be expelled. Ensure the replace the lid correctly.
2) Place the kettle on a stable, flat surface out of the reach of children.
3) Plug into a suitable power outlet, ensuring that the cable is not over stretched or could be accidentally caught.
4) Turn the kettle on using the switch. The indicator will light up and the kettle will begin to boil. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has reached boiling point.
5) Lift the kettle and pour carefully so not to cause any injuries,
6) Always unplug the power cord from the electrical supply when not in use.
NOTE: The kettle can be manually switched off at any time by interrupting the power supply.
Boil Dry Protection
Should you accidentally operate this kettle without any water the Boil Dry Protection will automatically switch the power off. If this occurs allow the kettle to cool down before filling with cold water and re-boiling.
