IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read and follow all of the instructions even if you feel you are familiar
with the product, and nd a place to keep this manual handy for future
reference.
Important: This appliance is intended for use in a domestic
environment only. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer
and may cause re, electrical shocks or other injury to user or property.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed:
• Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance for the
rst time.
• Before using the appliance, check the voltage indicated on the rating
label corresponds with the main voltage in your home.
• When the appliance is turned on for the rst time, operate it at
maximum temperature for at least 2 hours. During this time, make
sure you are in a well-ventilated area whilst the ‘new smell’ is burnt off.
This is completely normal and is not a cause for concern.
• Place the appliance on a at, stable, heat-resistant surface. Operating
the product in any other position could cause a hazard.
• Do not use the appliance if it arrives partially assembled or damaged.
• In order to prevent overheating, do not cover the appliance.
• Children aged from 8 years and above can use this appliance if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are
older than 8 years and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than
8 years
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge can use appliances if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
Caution: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause
burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable

people are present.
• It is normal for the appliance to make ‘cracking’ noises when it is
heating up and cooling down.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use. This
appliance is designed for use as a supplementary heat source; it is not
intended to be the main source of heat.
• Never leave the appliance unattended whilst in use.
• Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
• Do not use the appliance to dry washing.
• Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged.
• Never rest the power cable on the hot ns of the appliance.
• Always ensure that the appliance is positioned at least 1m away from
furniture or other objects.
• The appliance should not be used if it has been dropped or if there are
visible signs of damage.
• This appliance is for household indoor use only. Never use it outdoors.
• Before moving or attempting to clean the appliance, allow it to cool
down completely.
• The appliance should not be placed directly under a xed power
socket.
• Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance. There
are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• This product contains oil and must be disposed of correctly.
• Do not dispose with general household waste. Take it to your nearest
waste management centre for processing.
• The use of an extension lead is not recommended, as overheating of
the extension lead may occur during appliance operation.
Caution: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the
thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external
switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly
switched on and off by the utility.
• As this is a high power appliance, the plug could get warm during use.
This is normal and should not reach excessive levels.
• To avoid an electrical circuit overload, please ensure that no other high
wattage appliances are used simultaneously on the same circuit. If in
doubt, please contact a qualied electrician.

Note: This appliance is tted with a non-adjustable internal thermostat
that regulates the heater’s operating temperature and prevents
overheating. Therefore it is normal for the appliance to automatically
switch on and off during normal use. The non-adjustable internal
thermostat works independently and does not affect the thermostat
setting on the control panel.
