Chapter 1 Product Information
1.1 General Information
The MPC-50A, 10.4”TFT LCD 4-slot Panel PC, takes advantages of modern flat-panel displays technology. It consists of a CPU board, a power supply and a passive backplane for minimum size. It is an IBM PC/AT compatible computer specially designed to meet the applications for industrial environments.

Chapter 2 System Setup
The MPC-50A(10.4.") LCD 4-slot Panel PC is easy to setup for operation. The following sections demonstrate how to remove the upper cover, and then install backplane, CPU card, display control card, hard disk drive and other I/O cards required by the application.
2.1 MPC-50A Panel PC Installation

2.2 Disk Drive Installation
MPC-50A (10.4") provides one slim type CD-ROM drive space and Three 3.5” drive spaces. The following diagram shows how to install the slim CD-ROM drive and the 3.5" FDD.
For installing the two 3.5" HDDs, please remove the bottom panel by releasing the screws as the below diagram shown.

2.3 Power Supply Installation
This Panel PC is equipped with ACE-816AP or ACE-916AP power supply, which is fastened by 4 screws as the diagram shown below.
2.4 Cooling Fan Installation
MPC-50A is equipped with one 80mm cooling fan for system. The following diagram indicates the location of the fan.
Warning: Do not use the wet filter to filter out the dirt.

2.5 Backplane and CPU Card Installation
The figure below illustrates how to install the Backplane and CPU card on the MPC-50A.
2.6 Cover Installation
Figure below illustrates how to install the cover on the MPC-50A.

2.7 Panel Mounting
MPC-50A can be mounted within a panel as the diagram below shown. Please make sure the dimension of the case is within panel aperture so that the holes of screws match with the mounting bolts on the flange of MPC-50A.

Warning: Whenever you need to take off a part for either maintenance or upgrading purpose, you should switch off the power supply and unplug the power cord first.
Appendix B User Mode OSD Item Description
z Auto-Adjustment
This item will automatically adjust the H/V position, frequency, phase, and black level.
z Auto Phase
This item will automatically adjust the sampling.
z Brightness
It is used to adjust the brightness of screen. This function will adjust the offset value of ADC. Setting this value too high or too low will destroy the quality of image.
z Contrast
It is used to adjust the contrast of scre en; this function will adjust the gain value of ADC. Adjust this value too high or too low will destroy the quality of image.

z DOS/GFX
It is used to choose VGA input signal that are text mode or graphic mode. ( It is only selectable on resolution of 720/640x400 or 720/640x350 . ) 400 and 350 standard IBM mode have the same Hsync. and Vsync. Value. AV-9261 MPU can not differentiate them automatically , user need to adjust the m manually to match proper VGA mode .
z H. Position
It is used to adjust horizontal display position of image.
z V. Position
It is used to adjust vertical display position of image.
z Language
It is used to select the languages using on OSD display. AV-9261 now can support 2 languages on OSD display. English is the default one.
z Revert
It is used to reload original parameters from the factory’s OSD data area of the system EEPROM 24c16 device to re-initialize AV-9261 system device. When user adjust OSD data too much and can not see better quality than before , user can select this item and MPU will reload default BIOS setting and re-initialize the system.

z Save
It is used to save the parameters into the user OSD adjustment data area of the system EEPROM 24c16 device and close OSD. Whenever user adjusts any parameters, it is needed to execute this item to save data into EEPROM. And next time power on, the MPU will use the storied data to initialize the AV-9261 system.
z Main Menu
Every level of OSD have the item name Main Menu, this item let user leave current level and jump to upper level , or press the Return key.
z Exit
Press the EXIT key to exit the OSD menu when the OSD menu is on top of the level.
