4. Installation
- User’s Manual (English) IB-267 Series
Attention: During montage all cabling has to be disconnected from the computer.
1. Mount the IB-267 into a 3.5’’ bay with 4 screws.
2. Connect the 15 pin power cable for SATA HDD with the power supply, the 7 pin SATA data cable with the SATA controller.
3. Push the spring lock button to open the front door.
4. Place the SATA hard drive into the IB-267 with the hard drive label (printed) side upwards.
The HDD must be put in the right direction. Otherwise the front panel door will not be closed firmly. The IB-267 will get
damage if closed by force.
5. Press the door to push hard drive into the IB-267 until door locks. Then lock it with the key.
5. Application
- Please await the end of read/write operations before disconnecting the HDD to avoid data lost.
- A new HDD must first be initialised, partitioned and formatted by the operation system to be displayed by the system.
- If the hard disc isn’t recognised instantly by the operating system please check:
- if the HDD is initialised, partitioned and formatted.

Ejecting a hard drive
1. Unlock the key lock smoothly; push the spring lock button to open the door.
2. Pull the spring lock to unload the hard drive.
3. Carefully take the hard drive out from the IB-267.
Hot swap function
If your SATA controller supports the Hot Swap function, and the operating system is not on the SATA hard drive, it can be
exchanged via the IB-267 without shutting down the PC.
Attention: Some SATA controllers do not support Plug & Play (mostly due to incorrect driver implementations). In this case
should only be connected to or disconnected from the computer while the computer is off. Otherwise a system crash or data
loss can be caused.
Attention:
1. A hard disk may reach over 50°C. It will not burn the fingers, but please touch it carefully.
2. A hard disk is a sensitive device and needs to be cared specially.
3. Do not eject the hard disk while it is busy.
4. Please hold the disk by edge, do not touch the circuit board on it.
5. We will only provide repair service to our product malfunction problems, not be responsible for any software, hardware or
data stored within it.

4. Festplattemontage
Achtung: Beim Ein- und Ausbau der Festplatte müssen alle Kabelverbindungen zum Computer gelöst werden.
1. Befestigen Sie das IB-267 in einen 3,5’’ Einschub mit 4 Schrauben.
2. Schließen Sie das 15polige SATA Stromkabel an das Netzteil an, und das 7polige SATA Datenkabel an den Kontroller an.
3. Drücken Sie die Auswurftaste und öffnen Sie die Hebeltür.
4. Schieben Sie eine SATA Festplatte, mit dem bedruckten Label nach oben, in das IB-267 ein.
Die Festplatte muss in der richtigen Richtung eingeschoben werden, sonst kann die Tür nicht fest geschlossen werden.
Schließen mit Gewalt kann Schaden hervorrufen!
5. Drücken Sie die Hebeltür zu und verriegeln Sie das Schloss mit dem Schlüssel.

5. Anwendung
- Bitte das Ende von Schreib- und Lesevorgängen abwarten bevor eine angeschlossenes Gehäuse vom Rechner getrennt
wird, um Datenverlust zu vermeiden.
- Eine neue Festplatte muss vom Betriebssystem erst initialisiert, partitioniert und formatiert werden, um vom System
angezeigt zu werden.
- Wenn die Festplatte nicht sofort vom System erkannt wird bitte prüfen:

- ob die Festplatte initialisiert, partitioniert und formatiert ist.
Ausziehen der Festplatte
1. Öffnen Sie das Schloss und drücken Sie die Auswurftaste.
2. Ziehen Sie an der Hebeltür, um die Festplatte heraus zu hebeln.
3. Fassen Sie an die Ränder der Festplatte und ziehen Sie das Laufwerk vorsichtig aus.
Hot Swap Funktion
Wenn Ihr SATA Kontroller die Hot Swap Funktion unterstützt und das Betriebssystem nicht auf der SATA Festplatte ist,
können Sie die SATA Festplatte im IB-267 während des Betriebs wechseln.
Achtung: Einige SATA Controller unterstützen kein Plug & Play (meist fehlerhafte Treiberimplementierung). Hier darf das
Gehäuse nur an einen ausgeschalteten PC angeschlossen bzw. von diesem getrennt werden. Sonst droht ein
Systemabsturz und/oder Datenverlust.
Achtung:
1. Eine Festplatte kann über 50°C heiß werden. Sie wird zwar nicht die Finger verbrennen, muss aber mit Vorsicht angefasst
werden.
2. Eine Festplatte ist ein empfindliches Gerät und muss behutsam behandelt werden.
3. Wechseln Sie die Festplatte nicht, wenn sie noch arbeitet.
4. Fassen Sie nur die Metallränder an, nicht aber die Platine!
5. Wir bieten nur Reparaturservice für den Defekt am IB-267, übernehmen aber keine Verantwortung für sonstige Daten,
Software oder Hardware.

4. Installation
Devant l’installation ou la désinstallation d’un disque dur il faut débrancher tous câbles de connexion à l’ordinateur.
1. Installez IB-267 dans une baie 3,5 et visez avec 4 vis
2. Connectez le câble électrique de 15 pins pour SATA HDD avec l’alimentation, le câble de donnée de 7 pins avec le
contrôleur de SATA.
3. Poussez la serrure à ressort pour ouvrir la porte frontale.
4. Placez le disque dur SATA dans le IB-267 avec l’étiquette (imprimée) du disque dur côté en haut.
Le HDD doit être bien placé dans le bon sens. Sinon, la porte frontale du panneau ne sera pas bien fermée. En forçant la
fermeture de la porte, le IB-267 sera abîmée.
5. Pressez la porte et poussez le disque dur dans le IB-267 jusqu’à que la porte soit verrouillée, ensuite fermez la avec la
clé. HDD est installé.

5. Application
- Attendez le complètement des écritures et des lectures avant de déconnecter un boîtier branché à l’ordinateur pour éviter
une perte de données.
- Avant tout, un disque dur nouvel doit être initialisé, partitionné, et formaté par le système d’exploitation pour être indiqué
par le système.
