Important product information
Dear Customer,
please note the following information about the compatibility of USB
enclosures and adapters, including this device!
• Your host computer must have a USB Type-A interface.
• The IB-1818-U31 is downwards compatible USB 3.0/2.0/1.1
Type-A interfaces.
• The enclosure only supplies the full speed of 10 Gbit/s
to USB 3.1 (Gen 2) interfaces.
• The following operating systems are supported: Windows®, macOS

Application
To connect the drive to the PC, push the button down and slide the USB port
out of the enclosure. To store the enclosure and protect the USB port, press
and pull the button and slide the USB port and PCB back into the enclosure.
1. The external SSD can be connected to or disconnected from the computer
without shutting down the computer.
2. Please await the end of read/write operations before disconnecting the
SSD to avoid data loss.
3. A new SSD must first be initialized, partitioned and formatted by the
operation system to be displayed by the system.
If the drive isn’t recognized instantly by the operating system please check:
- if the driver software is installed (USB),
- if the SSD is initialized, partitioned and formatted.

1. Open the bottom cover by removing the two screws.
2. Push the sliding mechanism down to under the edge of the housing and
pull the PCB out of the housing.
3. Insert your SSD carefully with the connection side into the M.2 socket at
an angle of about 30° so it fits in smoothly. Then push the SSD card down
and fix it with the screw at the end of the SSD card.
4. Carefully insert the PCB with the SSD into the housing, push the sliding
mechanism under the edge of the enclosure, and reattach the bottom
cover.

Anwendung
Um das Laufwerk an den PC anzuschließen, drücken Sie den Schiebemechanismus herunter und schieben Sie den USB Anschluss aus dem Gehäuse.

1. Öffnen Sie die untere Abdeckung, indem Sie die Schrauben entfernen.
2. Drücken Sie den Schiebemechanismus herunter, bis unter den Gehäuserand und ziehen die Platine aus dem Gehäuse.
3. Platzieren Sie Ihre SSD vorsichtig mit der Anschlussseite in die M.2-Buchse in einem Winkel von ca. 30°, so dass sie sich widerstandslos einfügt.
Drücken Sie dann die SSD vorsichtig nach unten und befestigen Sie sie
mit der Schraube am Ende der SSD.
4. Schieben Sie die Platine mit der SSD vorsichtig in das Gehäuse, drücken
den Schiebemechanismus unter den Gehäuserand und befestigen Sie die
untere Abdeckung wieder.
