INTRODUCTION
The power plug provides connections for 230-v power supplied to indoor fan coil for those applications without electric heat. NOTE: The power plug is required on all fan coil units installed without electric heat. Consult unit specification to identify units
not shipped with a power plug. The power plug is NOT needed for those applications with electric heat.
in electrical shock causing personal injury or death. PROCEDURE 1-INSTALL ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY
1. Turn off electrical supply to fan coil unit.
2. Remove front access panel of fan coil unit.
3. Attach block-off plate over heater opening using the (2) enclosed sheet metal screws.
4. Secure accessory strain relief wire tie to left screw hole on heater mounting wall with 1 No. 10 sheet metal screw. (See Fig. 1.) Wire tie may be moved along wire length, if needed.
PROCEDURE 2-ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS See Fig. 2.
1. Slide accessory male, plastic plug into matching, factory-supplied, plastic receptacle until plug snaps securely in place.
2. Connect 230-v power supply wires to accessory yellow and black wire leads using insulated wire nuts.
3. Secure power supply ground wire to unit's ground lug. CAUTION: Keep high-voltage power connections away from low-voltage leads and circuit board. Shorten power
plug leads if necessary. PROCEDURE 3-INSTALLATION VERIFICATION
1. After completion of accessory installation, check wiring to be sure proper connections and routings have been made.
2. Replace front access panel to fan coil unit before turning power on.
