Introduction
spinXLR is a simple, easy-to-operate, and invaluable tool for channeling vinyl audio into your digital work-
space; the missing link between turntable and studio.
Prerequisites
l A turntable
l (1) standard stereo RCA cable (if your turntable doesn't have a built-in phono out cable)
l A mixer or audio interface (like the ConnectAUDIO
2/4
) with +48V phantom power and XLR inputs
How to Set Up spinXLR
1. Plug your turntable's phono (RCA) outputs into spinXLR's LEFT/RIGHT (RCA) inputs.
l If your turntable has a phono/line switch, set this switch to phono.
l If your turntable has a ground wire, attach this wire to spinXLR's ground jack and screw it
securely in place.
2. Attach the XLR connectors to your mixer or audio interface.
3. Turn on +48V phantom power for both channels into which the XLR cables are connected. Verify
that spinXLR's LED indicators are lit.
4. Spin some vinyl on your turntable. The turntable audio will now be routed, via spinXLR, to your mixer
or interface.
