The magic of DLP: It’s all done with mirrors.
Lenovo projectors employ Digital Light Processing (DLP)5
technology, which uses 1,000,000 tiny mirrors to help eliminate
the ‘screen door’ effect seen with comparable Liquid Crystal
Display (LCD) -projected images.
Here are some other ways DLP outshines LCD:
• Image quality: Smaller gaps between onscreen pixels
• Size: Lighter and more portable
• Superior picture reliability vs. catastrophic optical degradation

Keep a spare projector lamp on hand.
Although Lenovo projector lamps are designed to last up to 5000
hours* (for the M500 projector in Economy mode), it’s always good
to have a backup handy. Lenovo stocks most projector lamps for
up to three years after the projector model has been withdrawn from
the market—protecting your investment for years to come.

* Lamp life is a measure of brightness degradation only, and is not a specification for the time it takes a lamp to fail and cease light output. Lamp life is defined as the time it takes for more
than 50% of a lamp sample population to have brightness decrease by approximately 50% of the rated lumens for the specified lamp. For example, if the defined life of a sample set of lamps is 200 0 hours and their brightness is rated at 1100 lumens, then after 2000 hours, 50% of the lamps will still be brighter than 550 lumens.
