IBM Infoprint 1570 MFP (MT 4542) new models

Overview

IBM Infoprint 1570 MFP is an
all-in-one multifunction printer (MFP)
that provides print, copy, scan and
fax functions. With a 50
page-per-minute (ppm)
monochrome laser printer and a 35
sides-per-minute
Infoprint 1570 is designed to keep up
with the demands of medium and
even large workgroups. These new
models offer all of this with a very
cost-effective price.

Description

Infoprint 1570 MFP is an all-in-one multifunction printer (MFP) that provides print, copy, scan and fax functions. These
two new models are the lowest-priced Infoprint 1570 models and are summarized in the following table:

Key functions supported include:

• More availability for concurrent jobs

• Collation of larger document jobs

• Larger number of fax pages can be spooled (both

sending and receiving)

• Job building

• Scan preview

• Print spooling (job buffering)

• Copy spooling

• E-mail spooling/queuing

• Fonts and Macro storage

• MFP Lockout

• Booklet creation in copy mode

The hard drive capacity is greater than 40 GB. These
models come with one 500-sheet drawer as standard. Up
to four optional drawers are supported for a total input
capacity of 4,100 sheets. Optional duplex is available.
Output capacity for all models is 500 sheets.

Memory

These models have one slot for additional SDRAM
memory. Memory options include 128 MB, 256 MB and
512 MB with a total of 768 MB maximum memory. All
models have two slots for flash memory and application
solution features. One 32 MB or 64 MB flash memory
option is supported.

Network connections

Fast Ethernet is standard on all models. Optional Gigabit
Ethernet is also available. Optional wireless Ethernet is
supported through the wired Ethernet port or through the
USB port.

Usage rates

The maximum monthly usage for printing is 225,000
impressions. IBM does not recommend printing to these
monthly maximums on a consistent basis.

Print quality

The resolution of the Infoprint 1570 is:

• 1200 x 1200 dpi (at reduced speed)

• 2400 Image Quality

• 1200 Image Quality

• 600 x 600 dpi

The Toner Darkness setting offers 10 user-selectable
settings to balance print darkness and toner savings. The
higher the setting, the darker the print. Within the range

of print darkness settings, up to 50% toner savings can
be realized from the factory default setting of 8.

The Infoprint 1570 MFP resident fonts include support for
