Battery installation

Insert 4 x UM-2/”C”/LR14 size batteries into the battery compartment situated on the back panel of the unit. Be sure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity to avoid damage to the unit. Your unit also operates on 6V DC Power adaptor, with center terminal positive (not included).

Safeguards:

Remember to turn the unit off when not in use, as leaving it on will shorten the life of the batteries.

When batteries become weak, the clock display will disappear first, but the unit may continue functioning for some more time. This is normal and whenever you can no longer see the clock display, please replace with a set of fresh batteries as soon as possible.

Always remove the batteries when the unit will not be used for a long period of time, as this will cause leakage to the batteries and subsequently damage to the unit.

Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.

Turning on/off

Plug the power cord into a wall outlet, if an adaptor is used.

Locate FUNCTION switch to “clock mode”, “FM” or “AM” position.

Clock operation

This unit has a built-in digital clock, which is displayed when the unit is in power off mode (without lighting) or clock mode (with lighting). To set the correct time, slide FUNCTION switch to “clock mode” or “power off” position. Press and hold TIME SET button, then press HOUR button or MINUTE button to adjust the correct time.

Radio operation

1.Set FUNCTION switch to “AM” or “FM” position to select the needed radio band.

2.Rotate VOLUME knob to adjust the volume level.

3.Rotate TUNING knob to obtain the needed frequency/station.

4.To switch off the radio, set FUNCTION switch to “power off” position.

5.To switch on the radio, set FUNCTION switch to “AM” of “FM” position.

6.Improving radio reception:

FM-band: Fully unwrap and extend the FM-antenna wire for best reception. Adjusting the position of the wire may also improve the reception of some stations.

AM-band: Rotate the unit or reposition it for best reception. The AM-antenna is located inside the unit. Avoid placing the unit on or near metal surfaces as this may affect AM-reception.
