Important safeguards
• The instruction manual contains important operating and maintenance instructions. For your safety, it is necessary to refer to the manual. Keep the manual for use in future.
• Do not hit or drop the unit.
• Do not expose the unit to vibration, direct sunlight, too high or low temperature or humidity.
• Do not disassemble the unit yourself. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
• When the battery is exhausted, it should be removed from the set to prevent leakage.
Power supply
Battery power
• Open the battery compartment cover. Insert 4 x AA (1.5 V) batteries (not included). Please observe correct battery polarities or the unit will not work. Close the battery compartment cover.
• When the batteries are exhausted, they should be replaced.
• Do not use new and old batteries together.
AC adaptor power
• Plug the supplied AC/DC power adaptor into the power input on the back of the unit. Connect the power cord to a household main outlet. Make sure the voltage is compatible.
• Always remember to disconnect the power cord from the main supply before disconnecting it from the unit.
• Disconnect the power cord from the mains when not in use.

Termometer
The unit is equipped with a built-in termometer. Current temperature is shown on the display. In clock mode press SET button to select Celsius or Fahrenheit termometer mode.
AUX input
Use a standard stereo cable with 3.5-mm to
3.5-mm plugs to connect the audio line-out of the external device to the AUX input socket of this unit.
Backlight
Press the backlight on/off button on the unit to switch on/off the blue backlight of the display.
Built-in melodies
In clock mode, when MP3/FM/AM switch is set to AM or FM, set BUZZ/HI-FI switch to BUZZ position, then press button to enable playback of built-in melodies. “Bell” icon will be displayed. The 7 melodies will be played cyclically. Press this button again to disable melody playback.

• In clock mode (the calendar is displayed) press MODE button to enable time setting mode. Press repeatedly SET button to go to

• Set BUZZ/HI-FI switch to HI-FI position.
Set MP3/FM/AM switch to FM or AM position.
• For better FM reception extend the
telescopic antenna.
• To adjust the frequency, rotate TUNING

• To adjust volume, rotate VOLUME
regulator.
• To switch off the radio, set MP3/FM/AM
switch to MP3 position.
Alarm operation
Setting the alarm
• In clock mode press MODE button twice to go to alarm setting mode; the word ALARM will be displayed. The alarm is in OFF state and 12:00 is set by default.
• Press repeatedly SET button to go to setting of parameters in following sequence: alarm hour => alarm minute => alarm sound (one of 7 melodies or 2 beep sounds) => cancel. The selected parameter will blink meaning readiness for adjustment.

• In alarm time setting mode, if no button is pressed within 1 minute after a parameter is selected, the unit will automatically return to clock mode.
• In alarm setting mode, press repeatedly MODE button to return to clock mode.

Alarm switch-off and snooze
• The alarm can only sound if BUZZ/HI-FI switch is set to BUZZ position.
• Press snooze function. When enabled, SNOOZE will be displayed.
• If snooze is disabled, when the alarm signal is on, it will sound for 1 minute. Press any button to stop the alarm.
• If snooze is enabled, when the alarm signal is on, it will sound for 1 minute every 3 minutes. Press any button to interrupt the alarm. SNOOZE will be flashing. The alarm will restart after 3 minutes. This can be repeated up to 4 times.
• When the snooze alarm signal is on, press MODE button to stop the alarm and cancel the snooze function. SNOOZE will stop flashing.

Birthday reminder
• In clock mode press MODE button three times to enable birthday reminder setting mode. Press repeatedly SET button to go to setting of parameters in following sequence: hour => minute => year => month => date => cancel. The selected parameter will blink meaning readiness for adjustment.
• Press button to increase the parameter. Press button to decrease the parameter.
• Day of week will be set automatically.
• In setting mode, if no button is pressed within 1 minute after a parameter is selected, the unit will automatically go to clock mode.
• In setting mode, press MODE button repeatedly to return to clock mode.
• When the set date comes, “Happy birthday to you“ melody will sound for 5 minutes. To stop it, press any button.
Timer
• In clock mode press MODE button four times to go to timer setting mode; the word TIMER will be displayed.
• Press repeatedly SET button to go to setting of parameters in following sequence: timer hour => timer minute => start => cancel. The selected parameter will blink meaning readiness for adjustment.
• Press button to increase the parameter. Press button to decrease the parameter. You can set timing for 23 hours 59 minutes as maximum and 1 minute as minumum.
• In timer setting mode, if no button is pressed within 1 minute after a parameter is selected, the unit will automatically return to clock mode.
• In timer setting mode, press MODE button to return to clock mode.
• After the timer is started, seconds will be counted down in the temperature display. Hours and minutes will be counted down in the main display. After the set time is out (arrives at 0:00), the alarm will sound for 1 minute. Press any button to stop the alarm.
