With this HYT watch, you have joined the age of Hydro Mechanical Horology.
HYT represents the link between traditional watchmaking and fluid mechanics.
Whichever model you have chosen, it will be part of the same uncompromising HYT philosophy, which is to oer the best in traditional watchmaking combined with unlimited hydro mechanical creativity.

GUARANTEE
Each HYT watch bears an individual identification number, which guarantees both its authenticity, and that all the work involved in its creation has been supervised by a master watchmaker.
Each HYT watch is equipped with a fluid module
0
. The fluid module is the device, which enables to display time via the meniscus1. The meniscus1 marks the boundary between the two non-miscible fluids in the tube. The watch movement drives the module via the bellows2 fixed on the main plate. Only a professional watchmaker approved by HYT can replace this fluidic system. It bears a unique serial number.
The smart card you received when you purchased your watch is the electronic guarantee certificate for your HYT watch.
The highly secure digital information contained in the chip is unique and tamper-proof.
The guarantee is activated during the purchase in our network of approved HYT retailers. You must present your activated guarantee card to benefit from the guarantee.
On the front, you can see the electronic chip, the reference, the serial number of the watch and its individual number.
Your HYT smart card gives you access to information relating to your watch and proves its authenticity. To check this, simply go to lounge.hytwatches.com/authenticate and follow the instructions.
In addition to this, using the HYT smart card and the reader gives you access to the «HYT lounge», your personalised customer space at lounge.hytwatches.com.
In this manual, you can find the basic instructions for using and maintaining your watch.
Your HYT watch is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for two years from the date it was purchased, if the watch was purchased from an approved HYT retailer. This guarantee does not however cover damage caused by incorrect handling or improper use of the watch.
If your watch requires a maintenance procedure during the guarantee period, please provide your smart card activated by a HYT retailer.
For any service, repair or maintenance procedure, please ensure you only use retailers approved by HYT or our after-sales service centre.
You can find the list of our network of approved retailers and our after-sales service on our website www.hytwatches.com.
Any repair or maintenance work carried out by third parties who have not been approved by HYT will automatically void the guarantee. Any damage caused will then have to be repaired at your expense.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USEPRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Your HYT watch is set and ready to be worn.
The meniscus
1
in its capillary3 and the time it displays will remain constant while the
watch is on your wrist, even if you wear it in extreme temperatures (0°C to +50°C).
Important : If you plan to not wear the watch for a while, the green liquid has to be stored in its own reservoir (on the left bellow
2
).
Therefore, when the watch is stopped (the powerreserve is empty and the power reserve hand indicates 00) you have to manually and slowly move this colored liquid until the latter reaches the «Zone I».
The capillary
3
is at that time fully filled with the transparent liquid (there is no more or very little green liquid visible in the tube). A special molecule within this transparent liquid will maintain the capillary in the optimized conditions.
Produced and tested to very stringent criteria, the constituent components of your HYT watch together form an exceptionally watertight unit (to a depth of 100 metres). To ensure these qualities are preserved, we recommend that you replace the gaskets and the crown every 3 years. Temperature variations, moisture, perspiration or repeated impacts may adversely aect its water resistance over the years.
With its sealed case and rubber strap, your HYT is fully washable. It should be cleaned regularly in warm, soapy water, rinsed and then carefully dried with a soft cloth. After exposure to sea water, rinse your HYT watch in fresh water.

0. Fluid module:
To create a liquid indication of time that is small, wearable and multi-purpose, HYT
embarked on a completely new idea, using two flexible reservoirs at each end of a capillary tube. The system is sealed, with each reservoir containing a liquid of a dierent colour and dierent density. The Fluid module represents this complete system.
1. Meniscus:
The two fluids are separated by the positive and negative polarities of the molecules of
each that keep them apart like magnetic repulsion. The meniscus marks the breaking point with the other fluid in the tube, indicating the time.
2. Bellows:
The bellows are the two reservoirs (located at 6 o’clock) made of a highly resistant,
flexible electro-deposited alloy, each driven by a piston. This is where watchmaking comes in to activate the system. When one is emptied, the other fillls, and vice-versa, moving the liquid along the tube.
3. Capillary:
The round glass tube, milled to form a circle, the capillary, in which the two non-miscible
fluids flow.
4. Retrograde:
When the fluorescent liquid gets to 6pm hours; it flows black to its original position,
going backwards.

SCREW-DOWN CROWN
Pos A.
INTRODUCTION
This type of crown provides excellent protection to ensure the case is watertight.
The crown must be unscrewed before changing the watch settings and screwed back down afterwards.
HOW TO USE
• Unscrew the crown before changing the watch settings
• Afterwards, push the crown back in against the case and screw it back down
• Check from time to time that the crown is fully screwed down.

WINDING
Pos B.
INTRODUCTION
This function ensures that the power required to drive your watch is stored.
HOW TO USE
• Unscrew the crown before changing the watch settings «A»
• Wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise «B»
• Afterwards, push the crown back in against the case and screw it back down «A».

SETTING THE TIME
Pos C.
Zone I Zone II
10 minutes = 1 crown movement = 1 sec of manipulation
INTRODUCTION
This function allows the time shown on your watch to be set using the crown.
IMPORTANT
• To move nanofluids within a capillary3 should require no less caution than setting a perpetual calendar or a minute repeater
• We highly recommend to move the fluid by 10 minutes on each crown movement
• The «speed» of the minute hand covering 10 minutes each sequence is approximately
1-2 seconds
• It is not particulary slow, as you will move the fluid for a full hour in approximately 12 seconds in total.
HOW TO USE
• Unscrew the crown and pull it out to position C
• Then turn the crown in either direction until the coloured liquid (hour display) and the
minute hand is at the time required
• Push the crown in completely against the case
• Do not forget to screw in the crown completely to ensure its water resistance.
RETROGRADE
• The automatic return of the fluid (retrograde)4 is allowed by the pressure of the two bellows2. The speed is higher when the retrograde4 starts at 6:00 in «Zone II» and is minimal when the liquid approaches its starting point in «Zone I».

SETTING THE TIME COUNTER CLOCKWISE
Setting your watch counter clockwise is allowed. You have nevertheless to also respect the speed limit when handling your fluid. It is however totally forbidden to continue the counter clockwise handling if the coloured fluid is not visible anymore and is stored in zone 1.

POWER RESERVE
INDICATOR
INTRODUCTION
This power reserve indicator function provides a real-time display of your watch’s current power, thereby indicating how long it will continue to run without the spring being rewound.
HOW TO USE
The display uses a small hand on the dial which travels in an arc from the «full» to «empty» symbol.
To ensure optimal operation of the watch, we recommend that you check it is fully wound (see WINDING).
