Das Original der Grob G-103 ist ein doppelsitziges Segelugzeug der Grob Aircraft AG aus Mindelheim
im Allgäu.Die Version Twin III Acro ist für den Kunstug zugelassen und wird noch heute für die Kunstug-

ausbildung eingesetzt. Unser Modell der G-103 ist in geschäumter Bauweise aufgebaut. Dabei kommt der
besonders leichte und haltbare Werkstoff HypoDur® zum Einsatz. Das mehrfarbige Dekor ist bereits auf

Rumpf, Tragäche und Leitwerk aufgebracht. Der Brushless-Direktantrieb mit Klappluftschraube wird von
einem 3s-LiPo-Akku versorgt und verleiht dem Modell ein kraftvolles Flugbild. Die Tragächen sind geteilt

aufgebaut und verfügen über eine Karbon-Flächensteckung. Der Motor wird durch einen Skywalker 40A
Regler made by Hobbywing geregelt. Damit setzt sich das Modell auch bei windiger Wetterlage eindrucksvoll
in Szene und verfügt über eine sehr ansprechende Performance.

The original Grob G-103 is a two-seated glider from the German manufacturer Grob Aircraft AG located in
Mindelheim. The version Twin III Acro is approved for aerobatic ying. Today the G-103 is used for aerobatic
training ights. Our model of the G-103 is designed in foamed construction. Here, the extremely lightweight
and durable material HypoDur® is used. The multi-color decor is already applied on fuselage, wings and tail.
The brushless direct drive with folding prop is powered by a 3s LiPo battery and gives the model a powerful

ight performance. The wings are split up and have integrated carbon bars. The motor is controlled by a

Skywalker 40A ESC, made by Hobbywing.

Grob G-103 è un aliante biposto della ditta tedesca Grob Aircraft AG. La versione Twin III Acro è omologata
per il volo acrobatico e viene usata come aliante per l'addestramento al volo acrobatico. Il modello HYPE in
scala ridotta si avvale della struttura in HypoDur®, un materiale espanso leggero e nello stesso tempo robusto.
Le decalcomanie a più colori sono già applicate in fabbrica su fusoliera, ala e coda. La motorizzazione diretta
brushless va alimentata con una batteria LIPO a 3 celle. Le due semiali hanno la baionetta in carbonio. Il
regolatore in dotazione è lo Skywalker 40A made by Hobbywing. Grazie alla sua potente motorizzazione, il
modello fa colpo anche quando c'è vento e convince per le sue ottime prestazioni globali.

Montieren Sie danach die rechte Tragäche und führen

Sie ebenfalls das Servokabel nach vorn in den Rumpf. /
Install now the right wing to the fuselage and lead the ser­vo wire to the front. / Montare la semiala destra e portare
anche questo cavetto del servo in avanti.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass beide Tragächenhälften vollstän­dig an den Rumpf geschoben sind. Ziehen Sie anschlie-

ßend die beiden Schrauben fest, um die Tragächen zu

sichern. / Make sure that both wings are fully slided into

the fuselage. After that tighten the screws in order to x

the wings. / Accertarsi che entrambe le semiali siano ben
accostate alla fusoliera; poi serrare bene le due viti per

ssare le ali.

2. Die Montage des Modells / The Assembly /
L'assemblaggio

Nehmen Sie das Höhenleitwerk zur Hand und montieren
Sie es am Rumpf, wie dargestellt. Schraube gut festzie­hen. / Install the elevator on the fuselage and tighten the

screw rmly. / Prendere il piano di quota e montarlo sulla

fusoliera. Serrare bene la vite.

Hängen Sie die das Höhenrudergestänge am Servo ein
und verbinden Sie den Gabelkopf mit dem Ruderhorn. /
Install the linkage to the servo and connect the clevis with
the horn. / Agganciare l'asta di comando del piano di quo­ta nel servo e collegare la forcella con la squadretta.

Stecken Sie zuerst die linke Tragäche an den Rumpf wie

dargestellt und führen Sie das Servokabel nach vorn in
den Rumpf. / Install the left wing to the fuselage as shown.
Lead the servo wire to the front. / Montare prima la semia­la sinistra sulla fusoliera come mostrato in foto e portare il
cavo del servo in avanti.

Schließen Sie die Servos am Empfänger an und verlegen
Sie anschließend die Empfängerantenne(n). Beachten
Sie hierzu auch die Herstelleranweisungen der RC­Anlage! / Connect the servos to the receiver and install
the antenna(s) in the model. Please note the manual from
the radio manufacturer accordingly. / Collegare i servi alla
ricevente e poi stendere l'antenna(e) della ricevente. Fate
riferimento alle istruzioni del produttore della radio.

Setzen Sie nun den Antriebsakku (3s LiPo 11,1V /

1.900mAh) in das Akkufach ein. Akku jetzt noch nicht am
Regler anschließen! / Install the battery (3s LiPo 11,1V /

1.900mAh) in the lower front area of the fuselage. Do not
connect the battery with the speed controller now! / Ora
inserire la batteria (3s LiPo 11,1V / 1.900mAh) nella parte
anteriore in basso alla fusoliera, ma non collegarla ancora
con il regolatore!

Akku mit Klettband sicher im Modell befestigen. Die end­gültige Position des Akkus ergibt sich bei der Justierung
des Schwerpunktes. / Use some velcro tape in order to

secure the battery safely. The nal position of the battery

will be found when checking the CG. / Fissare la batteria
bene con del nastro velcro: la posizione nale della batte­ria sarà determinata successivamente quando andrete a
controllare il baricentro.

Prüfen Sie nun, ob sich alle Ruder korrekt bewegen.
Zuerst(!) den Sender einschalten, danach den gelade­nen Antriebsakku im Modell anschließen. Betätigen Sie
der Reihe nach alle Funktionen am Sender. Vorsicht
im Umgang mit dem drehenden Propeller! / Check the

function of all rudders. Switch on the transmitter rst(!)

and connect then the LiPo-Battery to the speed controller
in the model. Move all rudders one by one. Attention! Be

careful with the rotating propeller! / Vericate ora che tutte

le parti mobili si muovano correttamente: accendere la
trasmittente e collegare la batteria caricata nel modello.
Ora provare tutte le funzioni radio. Attenzione a non ferirvi
con l'elica in rotazione!

Beim Ausschalten stets zuerst das Modell und dann den

Sender ausschalten. / Always switch off the model rst,

then switch off the transmitter. / Per spegnere spegnete
sempre prima il modello e poi la trasmittente!

Stellen Sie die maximalen Ruderausschläge gemäß der
nachfolgenden Werte ein. / Adjust the maximum travel of

the control aps according to the sketch below. / regolare

Die Werte werden an der Hinterkante der Ruder gemes­sen. Geben Sie auf alle Funktionen 35% Exponential­Anteil. / The values are measured at the rear edge of the

aps. Set 35% Exponential on all functions. / Si misura al

bordo posteriore delle parti mobili. Date 35 % di esponen­ziale su entrambi funzioni.

Setzen Sie abschließend die Kabinenhaube auf den
Rumpf auf. / As the last step put the canopy on the fuse­lage. / Ora mettere la cabina sulla fusoliera.

Unbedingt darauf achten, dass das Modell aus der waage­rechten(!) Position heraus die Nase nach unten nimmt!

Keep the model exactly(!) in horizontal position, before it
takes down the nose!

Attenzione: il modello deve essere tenuto perfettamente
orizzontale prima che punta il muso verso il basso!!

Abschließend muss der Schwerpunkt am Modell über­prüft werden. Dazu werden alle Komponenten (auch der
Akku!) im Modell montiert. Der Schwerpunkt liegt 50 mm

hinter der Nasenleiste der Tragäche. Unterstützen Sie

das Modell mit zwei Fingern exakt an diesen Punkten und
beobachten Sie, wie das Modell auspendelt. Die Nase
des Modells sollte sich leicht nach unten neigen. Dann ist

der Schwerpunkt optimal justiert. / Before the rst ight

you have to check the center of gravity. For doing so you
have to mount all components (also the battery!) in to

the model. The CG is placed 50 mm behind the nose
cone of the main wing. Support the model exactly at the
marked spots on the bottom side of the wing. Put the

model on two ngers and watch the fuselage. The nose

should point slightly to the ground. Then the CG is placed

correctly! / Vericare il centro di gravità. Dovrete usare il

modello completo della batteria! Il CG è a 50 mm dietro
il bordo d'entrata dell'ala. Tenere il modello tra due dita
come mostrato e guardate la fusoliera. Il muso dovrebbe
puntare leggermento verso il basso.
