Description
The non-pressure HF05L and HF10L water heater keeps 5 or 10 litres of hot water available for use at any preselected temperature. Fig. 2 shows the time that it will take to reheat the water should the entire volume be used up.
• The water heater must not be
pressurized. Never block the tting
outlet and do not use a Perlator or hose with jet controller.
• If the temperature is set higher than 45 °C, very hot water can ow immedi-
ately!
• Keep children and the disabled (physical/mental) away from this unit unless they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or have been given instructions
on how to use it.
• Ensure that children do not adjust the
temperature (to a high temperature) on the unit when playing -
Risk of scalding!
• We recommend the use of the tempera-
ture restrictor set by the engineer, unless
absolutely necessary otherwise.
• To avoid risk of accidental resetting of the
protective temperature restrictor in the event of a fault, the unit must not be connected via a timer switch.
If you experience kettling noises or a reduced water flow it is likely that the unit needs descaling.
While the system is heating up, water will drip from the spout.
To select the temperature (Fig. 4) 1 Control knob
= cold. This setting protects your water heater against frost.
It does not protect your taps
and pipework. E (60 °C) = Recommended energy-saving setting. Minimal scale build up. 85 °C = Maximum temperature setting.
2 Indicator lamp. Illuminates during the heating-up process.
Fig. 3 shows the amount of warm water that you can obtain by mixing cold water (at 15 °C) to the hot water in the HF05L and HF10L.
Example: with the thermostat control knob set at 65 °C, the HF05L can supply 10 Litres of water at 40 °C, when mixed with cold water at 15 °C.

Installation instructions
The installation, electrical connection and first operation of this heater should be carried out by a qualified installer. The company does not accept liability for failure of any goods supplied which have not been installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. These instructions should be kept for reference by the owner of the appliance.
If this unit is exposed to static mains water pressure, the water container
may start leaking and cause damage.
Installation and water connections
Make sure that no accessories are left in the packing. Use mounting template in the packing.
Please note the following when installing the unit:
The water heater must be installed vertically, with the inlet and outlet connections at the bottom of the unit (Fig. 5 and 6).
The inlet tap should be fitted to the righthand connection (cold water inlet, Fig. 6).
The spout should be fitted to the left-hand connection (hot water outlet) (Fig. 6).
Install in a frost-free environment.
Do not restrict the outlet pipe. Do not
connect any aerators or hose with jet control.
The spout also acts as a vent.
Only open-outlet ttings can be
used with this appliance. It should NOT be used with standard taps.
Installation
An installation template is provided. Position and fix heater to wall using mounting bracket supplied observing water connecions: Blue = Cold water inlet Red = Hot water outlet.
NOTE -The water connections must always remain at the bottom of the
heater. It cannot be turned upside down.
If you confuse the connections, the water heater will not function, and
will cause damage!

Electrical connection
The water heater must be installed in accordance with I.E.E Regulations. Wiring diagram (Fig. 8)
1 Earth cable connector 2 Signal lamp 3 Thermostat 4 Safety thermal cut-out with reset function 5 Heating element
* For voltage and current information, please refer to the rating label.
Any excess cable can be stored in the compartment in the rear of the unit (Fig. 9). The unit should be installed with a fixed cable connection (spur point). An isolator with at least 3 mm separation on all poles must be used in the AC mains circuit.
Temperature limiting (Fig. 10) Limiting the temperature can:
reduce the risk of scalding,
save energy
reduce scaling The temperature can be limited to 38 °C, 45 °C, 55 °C and 65 °C. Fig. 10 key:
1 Thermostat control knob 2 Factor y set position - 85 °C 3 Limiting possibilities.
Warning! This appliance must be earthed.
Commissioning
1. Open hot tap fully until flows free of bubble.
2. Switch on and select temperature.
Risk of running dry!
A thermal cut-out is tted within
the appliance. If this operates for safety
reasons it can be reset by simply turning
off the electrical supply to the water hea-
ter. When the supply is switched on again
the thermal cut-out will have reset. If the
problem continues, fault nding should be carried out by a qualied installer.

Handing over
Explain the function of the unit to the user, in particular, draw his attention to the safety instructions. Hand over the installation and operating instructions to the user.
Maintenance
Applicable to all maintenance work:
• Disconnect unit from the mains supply.
• Disconnect cold water pipe from unit.
• Remove unit, drain via the cold and hot water connection pieces and place on a table.
To remove the casing (Fig. 11):
Pull off thermostat knob, remove screws. On the under side, lower the locking
screws towards the inside by rotating them counterclockwise or clockwise.
Swing open casing and remove. Untighten
the plastic band of the HF10L. The unit is now accessible for all maintenance work.
Exchange cable
If the electric cable has to be removed, the plastic thread which holds the form plate must not be removed!
Sensor positioning
HF05L
The thermostat sensor and the safety thermal cut-out sensor in the HF05L are located in different capillary tubes. The thermostat sensor should be positioned in accordance with Figure 12.
HF10L
The thermostat sensor and the safety thermal cut-out sensor in the HF10L are located within the same capillary tube and should be positioned in accordance with Figure 13.
Descaling
Remove heating flange, remove coarse calcium with a piece of wood, immerse heating element up to the flange plate into decalcitant.
Faults to be cleared by an approved professional
If the thermal cut-out operates by
using the water heater normally, the
reason for the fault must rectied and the
thermostat must be replaced.
Environment and recycling
Recycling of obsolete appliances
Appliances with this label must not be disposed off with the general waste. They must be collected separately and
disposed off according to local regulations.
