for business and hotel applications. The AH99-PN offers 10
programmable buttons that can be used for feature access in
business use or in the Hotel environment for service features
such as Operator, Front Desk, Room Service, Concierge, etc.
When connected to a Hybrex PABX the AH99-PN has the unique
capability to Be Paged while in the idle state. This Be Paged
capability is critical in Hotel applications when the Emergency
Evacuation feature is activated.
Please read these operating instructions carefully to familiarize
you with the operation and benets of your new Hybrex AH99-
PN Single Line Telephone Set.

Glossary and Terminology
Hook Switch - The switch that moves up and down and activates the phone line when the handset
is lifted from the base.
Off-Hook - A term used to describe the phone in its active mode when the handset is lifted off the
cradle or when the H.F button is pressed.
On-Hook - A term used to describe the phone in an inactive mode. The handset is in the cradle
and the phone is idle.
Installation
Installing the phone Your phone should be placed on a level surface, such as a desk or table
1. Connect the handset.
2. Connect the telephone line.
Note: Lift handset to conrm dial tone.
Ringer Volume Level
The phone will ring when there is an incoming call. You can set the ringer volume to high, middle or low (3 levels). The ringer volume switch is on the backside of phone.
Pulse Tone Setting
You can select P (PULSE) or T (TONE) dialing mode according to the requirements from the local telephone operator. The T/P switch is on the backside of phone.
Flash Time Setting
You can use the Flash feature to access services provided by your telephone operator. The Flash time is dependent on the local telephone exchange or PBX setting. You can change the setting by using the switch on the backside of phone.
On the backside of phone, there are 3 switches:

- Ringer Volume Switch (High, Middle, Low)
B
- Tone/Pulse Switch
C
- Flash Time Switch (100ms, 300ms, 600ms)
Operation
Making a Phone Call
Lift handset and dial the desired number to make a call. Or you can press H.F (Handsfree) button and then dial number to make a call in Handsfree mode without lifting handset.
Receiving a Call
To answer an incoming call, lift handset or press the H.F key to answer handsfree.

Redial
Behind PABX Operation. Lift Handset or press H.F then press RD/PAUSE. When connected directly to PSTN line. While in the off-hook state and listening to busy tone for example press the FLASH button and then RD/PAUSE to redial the last dialed number.
Pause
In off-hook state, the user can press RD/PAUSE button to do pause function, and it will momentarily pause the conversation for a quick duration
Mute
During a conversation, the user can press the MUTE button to disable the transmitter on the handset. When MUTE is on, the MUTE indicator will light up. Press the MUTE button to deactivate the mute function and resume normal conversation.
Storing / Editing a Telephone Number
Lift Handset, press STORE button and then dial the desired number and then press Memory Button Mx ( x-1~10) to save this number into one of the memory button locations.
Dialing a Memory Location (Mx)
Lift Handset and press Mx to dial the stored number.
Mx Example :
M1 = House Keeping M2 = Business Center
Be-Paged (Special Function) –
To Be Programmed by the System Administrator
This be-paged feature only works with Hybrex Hybrid IP PABX Model GDS-Series, and G1E
+
and Lynx Series. Need to set program mode 40-ext-06 of that phone to “Enable” as shown below. Enabling this option means another telephone set can page this extension number.

Place the phone at the appropriate distance:
from sources of heat.
from direct sunlight.
from other electrical appliances.
Protect your phone from damp, dust, aggressive liquids and steam.
Connect the cables only using the sockets provided.
Connect only approved accessories.
To clean the phone, use only a slightly damp cloth.
Do not use your phone in damp rooms (for example, in the bath).
