Hummer H2 Spare Tire Cover Installation
Thank you for the purchase of your new Hummer H2 spare tire cover. Please inspect your package contents before beginning installation. Shown below is a list of installation hardware, faceplate, base plate and quantities:

Painting Instructions
To paint faceplate:
a. Clean faceplate with a soap and water solution to remove dirt and other contaminates. b. Sand painting surface with 320 grit sand paper. c. Apply a coating of ABS compatible primer-adhesion promoter d. Apply paint compatible with ABS as directed by the paint manufacturer

Latch Assembly and Insert Installation:
2. Install latch insert and latch to the spare tire base plate with screw through the front side of an open latch, into the predrilled holes on the base plate, through the latch insert (textured side against base plate), and fasten with a washer and nut using a flat head screwdriver and 5/16” wrench (fig 1). Repeat this installation on each of the 3 notched and predrilled locations on the tire base plate (fig 2).

3. Install catch insert and catch to the spare tire faceplate with screw through the front side of catch, into the predrilled holes on the faceplate, through the catch insert (textured side against faceplate), and fasten with a washer and nut using a flat head screwdriver and 5/16” wrench (fig 3). Repeat this installation on each of the 3 predrilled locations on the faceplate (fig 4).

Spare Tire Cover Installation:
4. Remove lug nuts and spare tire from spare tire rack (fig 5). Install Base Plate on lugs with one latch located center bottom, this will allow for proper Faceplate alignment (fig 6). Place tire on lugs and fasten lug nuts (fig 7).
5. Attach Spare Tire Faceplate with “C design” running horizontal from center to the right hand/ passenger side of vehicle (fig 7).
