HOW TO MINIMISE THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF
YOUR HUSKY WINE COOLER
• Energ y consumption will be lower if the unit stands in a well ventilated space and in
par ticular the back of the unit and front vent at the bottom of the unit are clear of
obstruction.
• Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or near a heat source such as ovens,
radiators, heaters, etc as this will increase energy consumption.
• Keep the door closed as much as possible.
• Setting the ther mostat to a colder temper ature means higher energy consumption,
so set only as cool as you really require.
• Do not over fill the cabinet - over filling means that the air cannot circulate freely inside
the cabinet which may slow the process of cooling and make the cabinet less eff icient.
• Defrost the appliance if fros t can be seen building up inside - frost will increase energy
consumption and make the cooling process slower.
• Turn the appliance off completely if it is not required for a period of days or longer to
avoid wasting energy (see also section ‘When your appliance not in use’).

TROUBLESHOOTING
Before seeking assistance, please check the following points ; you may be able to solve any
problem yourself.
Problem
Not cooling.
Outer surfaces are
wet.
Inner surfaces are wet.
Not achieving
temperature set.
Solution
• Check power cable is connected and fuse is intact.
• Wrong temperature selected. Adjust setting on the thermostat
(see page 7)
• Cooler is over filled or the door is opened too often.
• The Wine Cooler is exposed to direct sunlight or a heat source,
so relocate the Wine Cooler.
• Water source or leak too near the Wine Cooler – dry surfaces
thoroughly and relocate the Wine Cooler.
• Door opened too of ten or left open.
• The temperature shown on the display is showing the
temperature of where the sensor is located. It is per fec tly normal
operation for the temperature to read a different temperature
to the set temperature, as the temperature within the Wine
Cooler will fluctuate continually.
• Temperature performance is affected by several factor s, i.e. how
often the door is opened, the ambient temperature, how full the
Wine Cooler is, etc.
• If the temperature shown is higher than the set temperature,
there is no need to reset as the Wine Cooler will be continually
working to reach the required set temperature.
The door will not close
properly
The display flashes
message
E1/E2/E3/E4/E7/E8
The display flashes
message HH /LL
(continuous beeping
sound)
• The door is misaligned.
• The Wine Cooler is not on a level sur face.
• The shelves are out of position.
• Sensor failure. Please call your local stockist.
• High/low temperature alarm. The alarm will stop af ter 5 minutes.
• The door is opened too of ten or left open.
• The room temperature too hot or too cold.
• Unplug the Wine Cooler and wait 15 minutes to restar t the
Wine Cooler. If the display is s till showing HH/LL message then
please call your local stockist.
The Wine Cooler
turns on and off
frequently
The Wine Cooler is
noisy
The light does not
work
• The room temperature is hotter than normal.
• A large amount of contents has recently been added.
• The door is opened too often.
• The door is not closed completely.
• The temperature control is not set correctly.
• The door gasket does not seal properly.
• It is normal for some noise to come from a Wine Cooler. Any
rat tling may come from the refrigerant flow in the Wine Cooler.
As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the
flow of refrigerant in your Wine Cooler.
• Contraction and expansion of the inside walls may cause popping
and crackling noises. All the above should be at a minimum.
• The Wine Cooler is not on a level sur face, or may be touching
other items.
