the instructions provided by the chemical manufacturer.
It is extremely important to use the compressor in a clean, well ventilated area where the surrounding air temperature will not be more than 100°F.
Do not locate the
compressor air inlet near steam, paint spray, sandblast areas or any other source of contamination. This debris will damage the motor.
This product is for
use on a nominal 120 volt circuit. Make sure that product is connected to an outlet having same configuration as plug.
WIRING
1. Local electrical wiring codes differ
from area to area. Source wiring, plug and protector must be rated for at least the amperage and voltage indicated on motor nameplate, and meet all electrical codes for this minimum.
2. Use a slow blow fuse type T or a circuit
breaker.
Overheating, short
circuiting and fire damage will result from inadequate wiring, etc.
NOTE: This compressor can be operated on a 115 volt, 15 amp circuit under the following conditions:
a. Circuit is not heavily loaded. b. Voltage supply is normal. c. Extension cords are of the minimum
gauge specified in this instruction manual.
d. Circuit is equipped with a 15 amp
circuit breaker or a 15 amp slow blow fuse type T.

Portable Handheld Air Compressor
7. Before each use, inspect compressed air system and electrical components for signs of damage, deterioration, weakness or leakage. Repair or replace defective items before using.
8. Check all fasteners at frequent intervals for proper tightness.
Motors, electrical equipment and controls can cause electrical arcs that will ignite a flammable gas or vapor. Never operate or repair in or near a flammable gas or vapor. Never store flammable liquids or gases in the vicinity of the compressor.
Compressor parts may be hot even if the unit is stopped.
9. Keep fingers away from a running
compressor; fast moving and hot parts will cause injury and/or burns.
10. If the equipment should start to
abnormally vibrate, switch unit OFF and check immediately for the cause. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
11. To reduce fire hazard, keep motor
exterior free of oil, solvent, or excessive grease.
12. Fast moving air will stir up dust and
debris which may be harmful. Release air slowly when draining moisture or depressurizing the compressor system.
Any misuse of unit could cause property or equipment damage and/or personal injury.
Do not leave the compressor
unattended while the unit is running.
Never exceed the recommended pressure for any inflatable object. Do not over inflate objects. Over inflation could cause property damage and/or personal injury.
Always put the car
in park; set the emergency brake; and chock the wheels before using the compressor or property damage and/or personal injury could occur.
Always use a sep-
arate pressure gauge to check the actual pressure in tires and in low pressure inflatable objects.
Do not use
compressor on high pressure tires used on large trucks, trailers or tractors. The compressor is not designed to operate for the length of time necessary to inflate these tires.
SPRAYING PRECAUTIONS
Do not spray flammable materials in vicinity of open flame or near ignition sources including the compressor unit.
13. Do not smoke when spraying paint,
insecticides, or other flammable substances.
14. Use a face mask/
respirator when spraying and spray in a well ventilated area to prevent health and fire hazards.
15. Do not direct paint or other sprayed
material at the compressor. Locate compressor as far away from the spraying area as possible to minimize overspray accumulation on the compressor.
16. When spraying or cleaning with
solvents or toxic chemicals, follow

4. Attach chuck or other tool to open end of hose. The compressor is now ready to use.
The switch should
be in the OFF position when connecting or disconnecting the power cord from the electrical outlet.
REGULATOR
1. This regulator controls air pressure to
the hose and attachment.
2. Turning knob clockwise increases air
pressure at outlet.
3. Turning counterclockwise will lower
air pressure at outlet.
Using Selector Guide
The pressure regulator on the unit is used to control the air pressure output. A low number, such as 10, indicates low pressure. A high number, such as 100, indicates high pressure.
The selector guide is located on top of the unit for convenience. Locate the number across from the desired usage. For example: To inflate a basketball, the pressure setting is 5 - 15. Turn the regulator until gauge reads the desired pressure. Inflate the ball. The unit will automatically “bleed off” any excess pressure after the ball is inflated.
Use care when
referencing this guide. Overinflating is possible regardless of the suggested regulator setting. Some variance may be necessary. Always try the lowest suggested number first. If desired results are not achieved, use the next

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This unit does not need to be grounded.
EXTENSION CORDS
To avoid loss of
power and possible overheating, use additional air hose instead of extension cords to reach work area.
1. Use only an extension cord that has a
receptacle that will accept plug on product.
2. Make sure extension cord is in good
condition, and heavy enough to carry the current. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating.
3. Table below shows correct size to use
depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use next heavier gauge.
NOTE: The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord.
BREAK-IN PROCEDURE
Do not attach air
chuck or other tool to open end of hose until start-up has been completed and unit checks OK.
IMPORTANT: Do not operate compressor before reading instructions or damage may result.
1. With power switch OFF, turn
regulator knob fully counterclockwise to minimum operating pressure.
2. While unit is still OFF, plug in power
cord.
3. Turn switch to ON position and run
unit for 5 minutes to break in the pump parts.
This unit is a
continuously running compressor. Normal operation causes the regulator to vent air.
higher number. Check the pressure with a separate pressure gauge.
This compressor is designed with an option to be hung on a wall or pegboard for convenient storage. It can also be operated while in the hanging position if one of the following conditions is met:
1. If mounted on a wall, mounting hardware is secured into wood or masonry with suitable fasteners.
2. If mounted on drywall or gypsum board, toggle bolts or mounting anchors are strong enough and are properly secure to resist vibration from the compressor.
3. If mounted on a pegboard, other items hung from the pegboard are secure enough to resist vibration from the compressor.
On the bottom of the compressor are two keyhole-shaped mounting points that are spaced 4 inches apart. The compressor is designed to be hung with the hose outlet pointed downward. When installing on pegboard, hang from 1/4 or 1/8 inch hooks spaced 4 inches apart. When hanging from the wall, accurately space the fasteners exactly 4 inches apart horizontally or the compressor will not line up with the fasteners. The compressor is designed to hang from the head of the screw or nail.

MOISTURE IN COMPRESSED AIR
Moisture in compressed air will form into droplets as it comes from an air compressor pump. When humidity is high or when a compressor is in continuous use for an extended period of time, this moisture will collect in the tank. When using a paint spray or sandblast gun, this water will be carried from the tank through the hose, and out of the gun as droplets mixed with the spray material. IMPORTANT: This condensation will cause water spots in a paint job, especially when spraying other than water based paints. If sandblasting, it will cause the sand to cake and clog the gun, rendering it ineffective. A filter in the air line (MP3105), located as near to the gun as possible, will help eliminate this moisture.
