Quick Start
Your thermostat has been pre-programmed from the factory with no programming necessary. We recommend using these pre-programmed settings for a few days before altering them.
If you do decide to alter your programs, choose which programming option will best t your schedule.
Use the blank chart in the beginning of the programming section to write out your scheduled times and temperatures.

After you have programmed your thermostat, no other setting changes are necessary unless you wish browse through the features section to see how you may further adjust the independent setting of your thermostat to meet your lifestyle. However, this is not necessary. Most setting have been preset to accommodate optimal performance.

Programming Introduction
Studies conducted by the Department of Energy estimate that setting your thermostat back 10°F (6°C) for two 8-hour periods (When you are away and asleep) during winter can reduce your fuel bill by as much as 33%. By setting your thermostat up 5°F (3°C) for two 8-hour periods during summer you can reduce your fuel bill up to 25%. Other independent studies reveal that by setting the thermostat a few degrees above comfort in summer and below your comfort level in winter, during peak running hours and using a ceiling fan to add comfort, can save up to $500 a year in energy costs. Depending on usage and location. (See the chart on this page).

Personal Program Chart
Your thermostat is capable of holding up to 4 separate programs for each day of the week. You can program weekdays as a group, weekends as a group, all 7 days individually or everyday as a group. Use the personal program chart on this page to assist you with planning your daily programs. Use a pencil so these records can be changed at a later time if necessary.

Read the programming section thoroughly to ensure you understand your programming options and which will best t with your lifestyle. e following notes should help you with programming:
* The program time can be set in 10 minute increments, and remains the same for both Heat and Cool programs. * The program temperature can be set in increments of 1°F (1°C). * The Heat setpoint can not be set higher than the Cool setpoint, and the Cool set point can not be set lower than the Heat set
point except when the thermostat has been manually overriden.
* If the system selector is in AUTO mode, the current operating mode will be used for programming. * After 15 seconds without a key press, the thermostat will return to normal display mode. * When setting the program time, note the AM / PM indicator. * With the Auto Recovery feature enabled, you do not need to set your comfort program times early. Auto Recovery will
determine how early to turn your system on, so that the room is comfortable at the program time.
* To check your set temperature press the

Armchair Programming
ere is no need to stand at the wall where the thermostat is mounted while programming or changing features. Simply remove the thermostat from the wall and make the necessary changes in the comfort of a chair. You can also set your programming and features before you even install the thermostat.

e rst step in programming your thermostat is to set the current time and day.
To set the current time and day: Press the

button once to activate day/time programming mode. e hour will be ashing. Use your and
buttons to change the hour. NOTE: Remember, you must pass the 12th hour when setting your time to move between AM and PM modes unless in 24
hour time. Press the

Remote Sensor Programming (Model 44668 only)
Your thermostat can support 3 remote sensors that will measure the temperature from three dierent locations, two indoor and one outdoor. It is recommended you follow the instructions for setting up the remote sensor in the Remote Sensor Instruction Pamphlet before proceeding.
To configure your thermostat to work with the remote sensors:
