INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the Auto Duster dust removal system from Hunter Fan Company. You have purchased our latest development in portable home comfort. This system has been developed to improve the quality of the air you breathe.

The Auto Duster System air is pulled in through the front right grill and cleaned across the Auto Duster filter. Clean air is then released out the front left grill in order to avoid stirring up settled particles.

The following innovative features are included in your Hunter Auto Duster.

• Dust Removal Efficiency: The Auto Duster filter will remove up to 80% of airborne dust particles in your homes air before it lands on furniture.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Save These Important Instructions

1. The Auto Duster Unit is designed for use on a flat, level surface and may not work properly on an uneven surface. ALWAYS place this Auto Duster on a firm, level surface. ALWAYS place the Auto Duster at least six (6) inches away from walls and three (3) Ft. from heat sources such as stoves, radiators, or heaters.

2. Place the Auto Duster in an area that is out of the reach of children.

3. Before using the Auto Duster, extend the cord and inspect for any signs of damage. DO NOT use the product if the cord has been damaged.

4. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat or override this safety feature.

5. ALWAYS UNPLUG the Auto Duster when it is not in operation, while the filter is being changed, and while it is being cleaned.

6. DO NOT tilt or move the Auto Duster while it is in operation. Shut off and unplug before moving.

7. DO NOT immerse the Auto Duster in water as permanent damage will occur. Refer to and follow the CLEANING AND FILTER REPLACEMENT instructions.

USING YOUR AUTO DUSTER

1. Take the Auto Duster out of the box and remove the clear plastic protective bag and place the unit on a firm level surface.

2. Before turning on the Auto Duster, you need to confirm that the filters are firmly in place and have not become loose during shipping. To check the filters, open the front grill by grabbing the tabs on each side of the unit and unlatch them.

3. The Auto Duster the unit. If present, remove the plastic bag surrounding the filter and place the filter back into the Auto Duster. The filter should be placed in the unit with the white side out as shown in Figure 1.

4. Place the bottom of the grill back into the indention in the base and push the door back until the tabs on each side snap into place.

6. Plug the unit into a 120V electrical outlet.

To turn the unit on and choose the appropriate speed use the rotary switch on the top of the unit.

HOW THE AUTO DUSTER SYSTEM

WORKS

Dust and other large particles are pulled into the Auto Duster Grill by the fan. The plastic screen on the filter attracts larger particles like, pet dander and hair, and traps them. Smaller particles such as dust are trapped within the filter. Dust-free air is then released into the room through the top grill. Figure 1.

FILTER REPLACEMENT

To replace the Auto Duster filter:

1. turn the unit off and unplug from the wall.

2. Snap the front grill off by putting your fingers behind the tabs located on either side of the unit and pull forward. Figure 2.

3. Remove the filter from the unit and discard.

4. Seat the new filter into the unit ensure the white side is facing towards you.

5. Place the bottom of the grill into the indention in the bottom of the unit and press the grill back into place. The tabs on either side of the unit will snap into place.

6. Plug the unit back into your wall outlet.

5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The Hunter Fan Company makes the following limited warranty to the original residential user or consumer purchaser of the

Auto Duster System:

If any part of your Auto Duster System (“Auto Duster”) motor fails during the first five (5) years from the date of installation due to a defect in material or workmanship, we will provide a replacement Auto Duster free of charge. Installation is deemed to occur at the date of purchase. If the Auto Duster cord, or front grill fails any time within one (1) year after installation due to a defect in material or workmanship, we will replace or, at our option, repair the unit free of charge at our nearest service center or at our Service Department in Memphis, Tennessee. You will be responsible for all parts and labor costs after this one-year period.

IF THE ORIGINAL RESIDENTIAL USER OR CONSUMER PURCHASER CEASES TO OWN THE Auto Duster, THIS WARRANTY AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY WHICH THEN REMAINS IN EFFECT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE VOIDED. NO WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR

FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS MADE IN RESPECT TO THE FILTER MATERIAL OR CARBON FILTER. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IN RESPECT TO THE MOTOR IS EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE PERIOD OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE.

This warranty is voided if the Auto Duster is not purchased and used in the USA or Canada.

This warranty excludes and does not cover defects, malfunctions or failures of the Auto Duster which were caused by repairs by persons not authorized by us, use of parts or accessories not authorized by us, mishandling, modifications, or damage to the Auto Duster while in your possession, or unreasonable use, including failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. This warranty does not cover Auto Dusters used in commercial applications. There are no express or implied warranties as to commercial purchasers or users.

OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE Auto Duster. YOUR SOLE REMEDY WILL BE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED ABOVE. SOME AMERICAN STATES AND CANADIAN PROVINCES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE OR PROVINCE TO PROVINCE.

name of our nearest authorized Hunter Fan Company Service Center, write to the Hunter Fan Company at the preceding address. You will be responsible for insurance and freight or other transportation to our factory service center. We will return the Auto Duster freight prepaid. The Auto Duster should be properly packaged to avoid damage in transit since we will not be responsible for any such damage. Proof of purchase is required when requesting warranty service. The purchaser must present sales receipt or other document that establishes proof of purchase.
