• e solution to the product not being level is not to clean it, but to re-level. “Once a week inspect fountain, site and adjacent area for moisture build-up and levelness. Clean as necessary, and relevel the fountain if needed. is is especially important for humid environments.

Care & Maintenance
1. DO USE clean tap water. Your fountain’s pump works better if it doesn’t have to pump dirt and debris. Puried water or spring water
are not necessary, but the water should be clear of visible contaminants.
2. DO clean your fountain regularly. Indoor fountains should be cleaned monthly or whenever the inside of the reservoir feels slick or slimy.
Outdoor fountains should be cleaned more frequently, especially in windy areas or when located near shrubs or bushes.
3. DO add a small amount of sanitizer to your reservoir. Household liquid bleach (Clorox or similar), Oxidol, Swimming pool Chlorine, Spa Bromine or other non-
Chlorine pool/spa shocks can be used. Please heed the manufacturer’s instructions for dilution (dosing) - if you are not sure, a good rule of thumb is one Teaspoon (tsp) per gallon of clean tap water - adjust the dose of the others accordingly.
4. DO clean your pump regularly. e pump’s strainer has grates to keep out large debris, but small amounts of broken leaves, dirt and pollen
can build up in the space between the strainer and the pump cavity. Cleaning this regularly (every 3 or 4 months) will extend the life of your pump and allow the pump to produce maximum ow for a more attractive fountain. If the pump internals start to have a build-up of minerals (a crustly, white deposit), soaking the parts in vinegar can help remove these deposits. Remember to rinse the parts thoroughly after the vinegar bath.
5. DON’T place small objects into the fountain. Please refrain from adding additional rocks, gravel or other decorative features - some of these may provide
additional debris to clog the pump.
6. DON’T add unapproved chemicals. Except for the small amount of sanitizer listed above, other chemicals may damage the nish of your
fountain or the plastics of the pump. In particular, stay away from adding algaecides and fragrances to these fountains - it may seem like a good way to limit the maintenance, but the fountains are not designed to withstand these chemicals.
7. DON’T use abrasive cleaners to clean scale, algae or mildew from the fountains. Abrasive scouring pads should also be avoided - these will scratch the fountain surfaces and provide more
places for the scale, algae and mildew to attach and grow more quickly.
8. Winter storage is recommended in cold weather climates.
- Empty water reservoir
- Remove pump, lights, and store inside.
- Cover fountain or detach reservoir to prevent water/ice accumulation as shown below.
