Precautions
In order to avoid electric sho ck,
ire and/or serious pers onal
injury, when using ele ctrical
appliances, basic safety
precautions sho uld always
be followed, includ ing the
following:
1. Read All Instruc tions
2. Check that the voltage power
corresponds to that state d on
the appliance.
3. To protect against electrical
shock do not imme rse cord,
plugs, power ba se or the
appliance in water or oth er
liquid.
4. Close super vision is
necessar y when any appliance
is used near chi ldren.
This product is not a toy and
should be use d out of reach of
children. This produ ct shall not
be used by children, without
close supervision.
5. Unplug from outlet whe n
not in use and before cle aning.
6. DO NOT operate any
appliance with a da maged
cord or plug or after th e
appliance malf unctions or has
been damage d in any manner.
Return appliance to the ne arest
authorized serv ice facility for
examination, repair,
or adjustment.
7. The use of a ccessory
attachments not re commended
by the appliance ma nufacturer
may cause injuries .
8. DO NOT use outdoors.
9. DO NOT let cord hang
over edge of table or c ounter,
or touch hot surfac es.
10. DO NOT place on or near
a hot gas or electric b urner,
or in a heated oven.
11. Always attach plug to
appliance irst, then plug
cord into the wall outlet.
To disconnect, put the
switch in o position, th en
remove plug from wall outlet.
12. DO NOT use appliance
for other than intended u se.
13. When removing mine ral
deposit, onl y use products
specially formulated for the
removal of mineral depo sit.
Never use ammonia o r any
other substanc e that might
be dangerous to your hea lth.
14. DO NOT reill with
water while the applianc e
is switched on.
15. Use on a water resistant,
hard, lat, level surfac e only.
16. NEVER use th e appliance if
it has been dropp ed on the loor
or damaged in any way.
17. A lways have water in the
water tank when operatin g
the unit.
18. Use only clean, c ool tap
water to ill the tank
(softened or distill ed water
is recommende d, if tap
water is hard).
19. To avoid white dust,
you may use distilled water.
20. Be sure that the illin g cap
of the tank is irmly tighten ed.
21. Always have the mist
direction nozzle and th e water
tank in place while th e unit is
operating. Rotate the appl iance
so that the mist nozzle ai ms
away from walls, and furniture.
22. DO NOT add medication
of any type into the nozzle, ba se
or water tank. Do not cover a ny
openings on the u nit or insert
objects into any openin gs.
23. The unit should not b e left
unattended in cl osed rooms as
the air could bec ome saturated
and leave conden sation on walls
or furniture. Always leave the
room door partly o pen.
24. When cleaning the i nside
of the unit, keep water away

from the air outlet. The exterior
may be wiped with a damp
cloth, except the electri cal
controls, when the uni t is o.
(Any part may be wipe d with
a damp cloth when the un it is
unplugged.)
25. DO NOT tilt or tip the unit
or attempt to empty or il l it
while it is in operation .
26. If using detergent to
clean any parts of th e unit that
contains water use deterge nt
sparsely and rin se abundantly.
Detergent depos it dissolved
in the water supply might el se
interfere with the output of the
unit.
27. Adding essential oils,
fragrances, euc alyptus, water
conditioners , etc. directly to the
water tank will damage the u nit.
Only use the correct e ssential
oils in the Aromatherapy Tray
as directed.
NOTE: For the Gold H umie,
use only esse ntial oils that are
also approved for use on sk in.
Not doing so may dama ge the
gold inish.

Polarized Plug Warning
This appliance i s equipped
with a polarized plug (one
blade is wider th an the other).
To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this pl ug will it into the
polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does n ot properly it
into the outlet at irst, reverse it.
If it still does not it , contact a
competent quali ied electrician.
Do not attempt to modif y the
plug in any way.
Short Cord Warning
A short detac hable power
supply cord is provided to
reduce the hazards resul ting
from becoming ent angled in,
or tripping over a long er cord.
Longer detachab le power
supply cords may be us ed if
care is exercised in their us e.
The electrical ratin g of the
longer cord sho uld be at least
that of the appliance .
If the electrical ratin g of the
extension cord is too low, it
could overheat and b urn.
The longer co rd should be
arranged so that it will no t
drape over the counter or
tabletop where it can be pulled
on by children or trippe d over.
