REPLACING THE REMOTE
iJOY-300
It is imperative that Human Touch® products are repaired in a manner that ensures product safety and regulatory compliance and that is fully consistent with the practices used during the manufacturing process. Therefore, Human Touch requires that all product repairs are performed using only factory-new parts and in accordance with these repair instructions. Failure to adhere to these instructions voids the product warranty and releases Human Touch from all liability for injury or product damage resulting from the repair.
Tools Required: Phillips-head screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver.

REMOVING THE REMOTE
Power panel
1. Turn the power switch on the power panel to OFF and unplug the chair.
2. Tip the chair gently forward, until the backrest is resting on the floor (Fig.1).
3. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the four screws from the inside of the power panel (Fig.2).
4. Detach the power panel from the chair to expose the connectors (Fig.3).
6. Using a flat-head screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the green grounding wire to the chair (Fig.3).
7. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the four screws that secure the metal panel, then remove the panel (Fig.3).
8. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the plastic remote cable grommet, then remove the cover.
9. Remove the power panel from the chair.

INSTALLING THE NEW REMOTE
1. Holding the new remote next to the chair base, connect the remote connectors to the corresponding connectors on the chair base.
2. Using a flat-head screwdriver and screw, attach the green grounding wire to the chair using the threaded screw hole as shown.
3. Place the remote cable into position, then replace the plastic remote cable grommet to hold the cable in place.
4. Replace the four screws to secure the cable cover.
5. Replace the metal plate, then secure it using the four screws.
6. Position the power panel firmly into place, then secure it using the four screws.
7. Tip the chair gently back to an upright position.
8. Plug in the chair and power it on.
9. Verify that the chair is now receiving power and that the remote control is working properly.
