Safety Precautions
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not put hands or fingers near the massage mechanism or rollers while this product is running. Touching the mechanism can result in injury from the rollers squeezing together.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use, and before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate under blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• Close supervision is necessary when this product is used by, on, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.
• Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return this product to a service center for examination and repair.
• Do not carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as a handle.
• Always keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never operate this product with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• To disconnect, turn all controls to the OFF position, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not massage any area of the body that is swollen, inflamed or covered with skin eruptions.
• Do not use this product when standing on a damp floor, or when any part of the body is in contact with plumbing or any similar ground.
• Do not use this product if noise above normal sound is heard.
• Do not stand on or in appliance. Use only while seated.
• Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. Do not use over sensitive skin area or in the presence or poor circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.
• Do not use in an automobile.
• Avoid contact with any sharp object that may puncture or cut the fabric surface, as this may damage the product heaters.
DANGER: To reduce the risk of electrical shock:
Always unplug this product from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
• Comfortable clothing is recommended while using this product.
• If you feel any abnormal discomfort during the operation of this product, turn off the power immediately and do not use the product. Consult your physician.
• This product was meant to be used in a relaxed position. Never force any body part into the backrest area while the rollers are moving.
• Do not sit on the controller.
• Do not pull on the AC cord.
• When using this product after it has been in storage, check to see that the product is operating properly prior to use.
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wide than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
• Do not attempt to repair this product yourself.
• This product is designed for personal in-home use. Commercial use will void warranty.

WARNING: This product is equipped with a thermal resetting protection device. This is an added safety feature to protect you and this product from overheating. If the product
should suddenly stop and will not start, turn the main power switch, located on the back of the product, to off and do not operate the product for at least 30 minutes. Failure to turn the product off may result in the product starting unexpectedly when the product cools.

simply place it onto the seat of your choice, secure it if you wish, plug it in and power it on.

Place your Human Touch™ massage pad onto any chair or sofa. Its thin-ply ergonomic design rests comfortably between you and the seat.

2. Secure the back massage pad (optional)
To secure the back massage pad to the backrest of a chair:
1. Pull up on the flap located on the back of the massage pad to expose the retaining straps. The straps are held in place by hook-and-loop
fasteners.
2. Open the straps, then wrap them snugly around the chair.
3. Attach the straps to each other, using the hook-and-loop
fasteners.

Your Human Touch™ massage pad features a streamlined controller design, for easy massage/heat setting selection. Choose from three custom massage settings, a soothing heat option, or combine them. No matter how you use it, your
Human Touch™ massage pad works with any seat to create a unique
Human Touch™
massage experience.
After 20 minutes of use, the automatic master shut-off timer beeps once and then powers off the heat and/or massage functions.

Power – Lights to indicate that the

Heat/Relax – Activates
the Heat Web, to soothe muscles
with or without massage. The

when the heat function is on.
Power/Park – If a massage is in progress, pressing this button returns the massage rollers to the base of the backrest and then stops the massage. Pressing this button also turns off the heat, if it is on.
Custom Massage Settings – Activates the rolling kneading massage. Select from three massage settings, each designed to focus your massage on a specific back region.
Full Back Refresh
– Extends the massage up
your entire back.
Mid Back Relief
– Focuses the massage on
your lower and middle back.
Low Back Release
– Targets the massage to
your lower back.

To keep your product working and looking its best, please follow these simple care guidelines.
care and maintenance
Cleaning:
1. Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
2. Do not use benzene, thinner or any other solvents on your back massage pad.
3. Remove dust on the backrest with a vacuum.
4. If the backrest become soiled, wipe with a damp cloth, then a dry cloth.
5. Common upholstery cleaners may be used for tough stains.
6. When cleaning the controller, use a dry cloth only. Never use a damp cloth to clean the controller.
Maintenance and Repair:
1. The mechanics of this product are specially designed and constructed to be maintenance free. No periodic lubrication or servicing is required.
2. Your back massage pad should only be serviced by an authorized service center.
Storage:
1. When not in use for a long period of time, we recommend that the back massage pad be covered, the power cord be coiled and that the unit be placed in an environment free of dust and moisture.
2. Do not store near heat or open flame. Do not leave this product exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. This may cause fading or damage.
Miscellaneous:
1. Foreign objects should not be inserted between the massage nodes or the unit housing.
2. Care should be taken not to overload the unit.

limited warranty
TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
• Human Touch
warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below.
• To obtain warranty service and support, consumers can contact Human Touch
Customer Service at (800) 355-2762 between 6:00AM and 5:00PM PDT, Monday thru Friday. For your convenience, we can also be reached via email at
cs@humantouch.com.
• An original, dated proof of purchase (sales receipt) is required for all warranty service.
WARRANTY RETURNS
• The Human Touch
Customer Service department will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number for products being returned to the Human Touch™ service facility for authorized repair and/or replacement.
• For returns, the consumer is responsible for packing the product in the original box or packaged to prevent any further damage from occurring. The consumer is responsible for all associated shipping costs to return the product to the Human Touch
designated service center.
• Please clearly mark your RMA number on the outside of the box to facilitate and expedite the processing of the return request.
• Products returned to Human Touch
without being issued an RMA number will be refused.
• Upon receipt, inspection and approval, Human Touch™ will repair or replace the product.
• Human Touch
will arrange for the product to be returned to the consumer.
CONSUMER WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
• Product must be used in accordance with all guidelines and limitations stated within the Use and Care Manual.
• Warranties are only valid within the United States and Canada.
• Softening of foams and filling composites in pillows and padding do not constitute a defect under this warranty.
• Fading, wear and pilling of fabrics does not constitute a defect under this warranty.
• Human Touch
is not responsible for any applicable duties, taxes and brokerage fees associated with returned products.
• Warranties do not cover any loss or damage resulting from: unauthorized repairs or modifications, improper electrical/power source; a malfunction or damage due to failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; theft, abuse, misuse, neglect, vandalism, or environmental conditions (fire, floods, rust, corrosion, sand, dirt, windstorm, hail, earthquake, or exposure to weather conditions); loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility.
• Damage incurred due to shipping and handling does not constitute a defect under this warranty.
• Under no circumstance shall Human Touch
or its representatives be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (including damages for lost profits, business interruption, bodily injury, medical, and the like), even if any party has
been advised of the possibility of such damages.
• Warranties are non-transferable and shall be in lieu of any other warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for particular use. HumanTouch
sole liability and the purchaser’s exclusive remedy shall be for the repair or, at the option of Human Touch™, for the replacement of the defective product. Not withstanding the above, if replacement parts for defective materials are not available, Human Touch™ reserves the right to make comparable model substitutions in lieu of repair or replacement.
• All Warranties begin on DATE OF PURCHASE, no allowance or extension is offered for delivery and/or installation.
• Warranties do not apply to rental, business, commercial, institutional, or other non-residential users.
• Service of the unit by anyone other than Human Touch
or its authorized service centers will void the product warranty.
• This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which vary from state to state. Because of individual state regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
