Using these steps – along with the steps in the starter box manual (not shown here) – to set up the starter
box for the XRAY RX8.

#104414 CONVERSION FOR XRAY RX8

Reattach the rear chassis
bracket plate.

Install bracket plate
posts using M3x20
screws and M3 nuts. Do
not tighten the screws
fully; they will be set
later.

Remove the front cover.

Loosen the screw and
remove the composite
spring holder, remove
spring and replace it with
new one from upgrade
package and put back
the composite spring
holder and tighten the
screw again.

Remove old black spring

Insert new silver
spring

Insert the front
cover back onto
the starter box.

STARTER SPRING CHANGE

Install bracket plate posts
using M3x14 screws as
shown.

Before placing the car on the Star-Box, operate the Star-Box to ensure the starter wheel spins in the
proper direction. Place the XRAY RX8 on the Star-Box so that the engine ywheel aligns with the starter
wheel. If the car does not t the back-stop properly, adjust the stops accordingly.

Position for RX8

Install bracket plate posts
using M3x14 screws as
shown.
