To Clean the Cover

Remove the cover from the seat cushion. Machine wash in lukewarm
water and air dry. No ironing is required. We do not recommend machine
drying in order to prevent the breakdown of the moisture proof urethane
laminate on the inside of the cover.

To Clean the Gravity Free™ Core

To clean the inner protecve foam core simply spot clean or wipe the

inner cover with moist warm cloth. Avoid submerging the base in water.

The Gravity Free™ Cushion Warranty

Under normal use from date of purchase, Hudson Medical guarantees
The Gravity Free™ Cushion to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of 18 months on the foam core and 90 days on
the cover. Should a defect occur, the cushion should be returned by the
customer to the place of purchase with original sales receipt. Hudson
Medical will determine if it is a manufacturing defect and replace or
repair the cushion without charge. This warranty does not apply to
damages due to misuse, punctures, tears, burns, etc. to the cushion or
removable cover.

The Gravity Free™ Gel Foam Core

The Gravity Free™ Cushion has a 3" thick
resilient foam core embedded with a gel
bladder constructed with a 1" thick foam

insert. The air is vacuumed from the foam

and replaced with a water based polymer in a

10-gauge vinyl bladder casing. The Gravity

Free™ gel foam core provides weight and

pressure distribuon in the ischial and coccyx
area for maximum skin protecon.

The Gravity Free™ gel foam core and

bladder is protected from inconnence by a
waterproof electronically sealed so durable
10-gauge vinyl protecve inner cover. Air

vents are incorporated to reduce pressure

and increase seang comfort.

The Gravity Free™ Cover

The Gravity Free™ gel foam core and

bladder is further protected by a 2-way nylon
stretch knit cover that reduces fricon and
shearing. The boom of the cover is made of
a non-skid vinyl.

Gravity Free™ Wheelchair Cushion

The Gravity Free™ Cushion is ideal for

long term care, moderate pressure sore

management and inconnence. The foam

core with inner gel bladder is protected by
an electronically sealed inner vinyl cover

for long term protecon.

Remember, no cushion can eliminate

seang pressure or totally prevent pressure

sores, therefore, you should regularly

check for skin redness as a noted indicator of ssue breakdown. The

Gravity Free™ Cushion may be used in a sling seat wheelchair or on a

solid seat base.

The Gravity Free™ Cushion has a moisture resistant cover

designed to repel fluids as it is intended as a long-term inconnence
cushion. However it should not be submerged in water or used as a
bathtub seang product. Replacement covers are available from your
Hudson dealer.

Placement of the Gravity Free™ Wheelchair Cushion

The Gravity Free™ Wheelchair Cushion is available in the most

popular adult size (18" x 16" x 3"). The cushion should match the
width of the hips of the client not the width of the chair. The cushion

should be placed at the back of the wheelchair and the length should

extend to 1" to 2" from the back of the knees. The ischial tuberosies
(sing bones) should be centered in the seat in the center of the
back seang area.

The footrest should be adjusted properly in order to enhance

seang comfort and help to lower peak seang pressures.
