GENERAL

Provide a quantity of __________ high efficiency condensing water/natural gas (propane) water heater(s) Model
No.______________ as provided by HUBBELL Electric Heater Co., Stratford, CT.

BURNER

The heater should be down fired to prevent condensate from pooling on the burner. The heat exchanger shall be a
free-floating non-welded 316L stainless steel finned tube design. An advanced LED multi-function display provides
temperature control. Heaters under 199 MBH shall be Ultra low NOx certified by SCAQMD. Heater shall include an over
temp sensor in the exhaust port, capable of first turning down, then turning off the heater if the flue gas reaches an over
temperature condition. The heater is to be rated for a maximum allowable working pressure of 150psi. Heater shall be
designed and assembled in the USA. The gas burner & controls shall bear the ETL Listing mark for the U.S. and
CANADA.

CONSTRUCTION

Storage Tank

The pressure vessel shall be all welded construction for a working pressure of 150 psi and contain a minimum of
_______gallons of storage. The storage vessel shall be carbon steel and lined with seamless Hydrastone cement applied
to a minimum thickness of 1/2" on 100% of all interior tank surfaces (Optional Specifications: Solid Type 304 or 316L
stainless steel tank ). The pressure vessel is to be completely covered with 2" thick polyurethane foam insulation and
enclosed in a protective outer jacket. The vessel shall be protected by an ASME approved automatic reseating
combination temperature and pressure relief valve set at the tank working pressure and 210°F.

RECOVERY

The recovery section shall be rated at _______ MBH/HR which will heat ______ GPH of water at ______°F
rise from ______°F to ______°F

ELECTRICAL

The electrical power required for the water heater is 120V AC at 60 Hz. The Hubbell water heater has a 60 inch power
cord equipped with a GFI three-prong plug. The unit should be plugged into a properly grounded outlet rated for at least
10 Amps (12 gauge wire with a minimum of a 10 Amp circuit breaker).

In addition, the Condensing Gas water heater shall be supplied with the following optional features:

WARRANTY

The heater manufacturer shall warranty the heat exchanger for a full six (6) years Non Pro-Rated from date of start-up
and ten (10) years for the storage tank provided that the unit is started within three (3) months of date of shipment and
installed and operated within the scope of the vessel design and operating capability. Each water heater shall be
shipped with a complete set of installation and operating instructions including spare parts list and approved drawings.
