PRE-INSTALLATION
1. NOTICE: For installation by a qualified electrician in accordance with national
and local electrical codes.
2. CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Disconnect power before
installing. Never wire energized electrical components.
3. Check to insure that the device’s type and rating are suitable for the
application.
4. CAUTION: USE COPPER CONDUCTORS ONLY. DO NOT TIN
CONDUCTORS.
5. NOTICE: These products are designed to be mounted in or on an enclosure
product.
6. WARNING: (GFCI equipped devices) A GFCI receptacle will not protect
against electrical shock resulting from a defect or fault in the supply to the
interrupter. This GFCI will not protect against shock resulting from personal
contact with both sides of the electrical output from the interrupter.
INSTALLATION
1. Select a suitable location on the enclosure to mount the device. Check to
insure there will be adequate clearance behind the device after it is installed
and wired.
2. Cut an opening in the panel using the dimensions from the appropriate
chart shown in Figure 1.
3. Mount the device on the panel using the gasket supplied with the unit.
4. Connect low voltage interface wiring according to the documentation
provided with each unit.
5. On units with optional AC power receptacles: Connect input power to LINE
terminals (TB1) per NEC as shown in figure 1. Additional receptacles may
be connected per NEC to the LOAD terminals (TB2). Insure adequate
separation of high and low voltage circuit conductors in the end-use
product.
6. Insure the metal housing is properly grounded.
OPERATION AND TEST INSTRUCTIONS FOR GFCI DEVICES:
1. Turn power ON at the service panel. Press RESET button fully. The GFCI
cannot be reset until it is wired correctly and power is supplied to the
device. Verify power is present on the face of the GFCI receptacle and
the receptacle on the back of the port.
2. Press the TEST button. The RESET button should pop out indicating the
device has tripped. Verify power has been removed from the face of the
GFCI receptacle and the receptacle on the back of the port. Press the
RESET button to restore power to the receptacles
3. Do not use this device if it fails any portion of the above tests.
Consult a qualified electrician for repair or replacement.
4. If the LED on the face of the GFCI receptacle begins to flash, the receptacle
has lost its GFCI protection, and should be replaced immediately.
5. GFCI devices should be tested at least once a month per above directions.

AVANT LE MONTAGE
1. AVIS : Doit être installé par un électricien qualifié conformément aux
codes de l’électricité nationaux et locaux.
2. ATTENTION : RISQUE DE CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE. Débrancher le circuit
avant de procéder au montage. Ne jamais câbler des composants
électriques dans un circuit sous tension.
3. S’assurer que le type et les caractéristiques nominales de ce dispositif
conviennent à l’application.
4. ATTENTION - EMPLOYER UNIQUEMENT DES CONDUCTEURS EN
CUIVRE. NE PAS ÉTAMER LES CONDUCTEURS.
5. AVIS : Ces dispositif sont conçus pour être montés sur un panneau ou
dans un boîtier.
6. AVERTISSEMENT : (Dispositifs équipés d’un IDALT) Une prise IDALT ne
protège pas contre les chocs électriques résultant d’un défaut dans la
source d’alimentation de la prise. Un IDALT ne protège pas contre les
chocs électriques résultant d’un contact personnel avec les deux côtés
de la sortie électrique du dispositif.
MONTAGE
1. Choisir un endroit approprié sur le boîtier pour y monter le dispositif.
S’assurer de disposer d’un espace suffisant derrière le dispositif une
fois monté et câblé.
2. Découper le panneau selon les dimensions appropriées montrées à la
figure 1.
3. Monter le dispositif sur le panneau en utilisant la garniture d’étanchéité
fournie.
4. Connecter l’interface basse tension selon la documentation fournie avec
chaque unité.
5. Pour les unités avec une prise CA optionnelle - Connecter l’alimentation
aux bornes «LINE» (TB1) en accord avec le Code canadien de l’électricité
conformément à la figure 1. Des prises additionnelles peuvent être
ajoutées en accord avec le Code canadien de l’électricité aux bornes
«LOAD» (TB2). Assurer une séparation adéquate entre les conducteurs
de basse et haute tensions du produit fini.
6. S’assurer que le boîtier métallique est mis à la terre correctement.
INSTRUCTIONS - OPÉRATION ET TESTS
1. Mettre le circuit sous tension au panneau de service. Appuyer à fond sur le
bouton «RESET». L”IDALT ne peut pas être réactivé avant d”être câblé
correctement et mis sous tension. S’assurer que la tension est bien présente
sur la face de la prise IDALT et sur la prise à l’arrière du port.
2 Appuyer sur le bouton «TEST». Le bouton «RESET» devrait surgir,
indiquant que le dispositif a déclenché. Vérifier que la face de la prise
IDALT et la prise à l’arrière du port ne sont plus sous tension. Appuyer
sur le bouton «RESET» pour réactiver les prises.
3. Ne pas utiliser ce dispositif s’il échoue un des tests ci-dessus.
Consulter un électricien qualifié pour réparer ou remplacer.
4 Si la DEL sur la face de la prise IDALT se met à clignoter, c’est que la prise a
perdu sa protection IDALT. Elle doit être remplacée immédiatement.
5. Les dispositifs IDALT doivent être vérifiés selon les instructions ci-dessus
au moins une fois par mois.

ANTES DE LA INSTALACIÓN
1. AVISO : Para ser instalado por un electricista calificado, de acuerdo con los
códigos eléctricos nacionales y locales.
2. ¡CUIDADO! : RIESGO DE CHOQUE ELÉCTRICO. Desconectar la corriente
antes de la instalación. No cablear nunca componentes energizados.
3. Asegurarse de que el tipo y las características nominales del dispositivo
sean apropiados para la aplicación.
4. CUIDADO - UTILIZAR SOLAMENTE CONDUCTORES DE COBRE. NO
ESTAÑAR LOS CONDUCTORES.
5. AVISO: Estos productos han sido diseñados para instalarse dentro de o
sobre un producto encerrado.
6. ADVERTENCIA : ( Dispositivos con GFCI) Una toma GFCI no protegerá contra
choques eléctricos resultantes de un defecto o una falla en la alimentación de
energía al interruptor. Un GFCI no protegerá contra los choques resultantes
del contacto personal con ambos lados de la salida eléctrica del interruptor.
INSTALACIÓN
1. Seleccionar un lugar apropiado en el cerramiento para fijar el dispositivo.
Asegurarse de que quedará espacio suficiente detrás del dispositivo una
vez instalado y cableado.
2. Cortar un hueco en el tablero usando las dimensiones indicadas en la tabla
apropiada que se muestra en la Figura 1.
3. Fijar el dispositivo sobre el tablero usando la junta provista con la unidad.
4. Conectar el cableado de interfaz de baja tensión siguiendo la documentación
provista con cada unidad.
5. En las unidades con tomacorrientes optativos de CA: Conectar la energía
de entrada a los bornes de LÍNEA (TB1) de conformidad con la Norma
oficial mexicana NOM-001-SEDE, como se muestra en la figura 1. Pueden
conectarse otros tomacorrientes, siguiendo dicha norma, a los bornes de
CARGA (TB2). Asegurarse de que quede suficiente separación entre los
conductores de circuitos de alta y baja tensión en el producto de uso final.
6. Asegurarse de que la caja metálica esté debidamente conectada a tierra.
INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO Y ENSAYO PARA GFCI
1. Activar la energía en el tablero de servicio. Oprimir el botón RESET a fondo.
El GFCI no puede reconfigurarse antes de estar correctamente cableado y
de que el dispositivo reciba energía. Verificar que haya energía en el frente
del tomacorriente del GFCI y en el tomacorriente al dorso del puerto.
2. Oprimir el botón TEST. El botón RESET debería saltar indicando que el
dispositivo se ha disparado. Verificar que ya no haya energía en el frente
del tomacorriente del GFCI y en el tomacorriente al dorso del puerto. Oprimir
el botón RESET para restablecer la energía en los tomacorrientes.
3. No usar este dispositivo si falla cualquier parte de las pruebas
indicadas. Consultar a un electricista competente para reparar o
cambiar el aparato.
4. Si el LED en el frente del tomacorriente del GFCI comienza a parpadear, el
tomacorriente ha perdido su protección GFCI y debería ser reemplazado
inmediatamente.
5. Los dispositivos GFCI deberían ser ensayados por lo menos una vez al mes
siguiendo las instrucciones expuestas.
