To Install Fixture (Figure 1)

Caution: Be sure power is off at the main breaker box prior to installation.
Site Preparation
1. Run appropriate wiring to the site of the fixture.
2. Install a weather proof electrical box with a gasket cover that has a 1/2-14
NPSM threaded hole in the center (not included).

Installation
Note: Post may be cut to desired height before installation. Be sure to cut from the
non-threaded end
of the post. Remove all sharp burrs.
1. Thread nipple (B) into threaded end of post (A).
2. Feed wires from fixture (C) through post (A) and out through nipple (B).
3. Place fixture (C) onto post (A) carefully tucking all wiring down into post and
making sure no wires are pinched between the post and the fixture. Secure
with set screw (D).
4. Thread post (A) into center hole of electrical box cover.
5. Connect fixture wires to supply wires using appropriate wire connectors (not
provided), black to black, white to white and bare copper or green to bare
copper or green. If fixture is wired with twin lead lamp cord, connect smooth
side of fixture wire to black and ridged side to white.
6. Attach electrical box cover to electrical box.
7. Refer to glass installation instructions on next page.

To Install Glass (Figure 2)

F Retaining Ring (2)

H Socket Tool
1. Remove retaining rings (F) from socket (G).
2. Slip glass (E) over socket (G).
3. Thread the first retaining ring (F) on to socket (G) using provided socket
tool (H) until it reaches the top of the glass (E).
4. Thread the second retaining ring (F) onto socket using provided socket
tool (H) until it is snug against the first retaining ring. Do not over tighten.
5. Install light bulb and restore electricity at main breaker. Fluorescent
version bulb is provided with fixture.
