This product must be installed in accordance with applicable installation code(s), by a person familiar with the
construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.*

Caution: Do not exceed maximum wattage noted on fixture. Use only recommended bulbs with fixture.

To Prepare Fixture for Installation (Figure 1)

Component Parts

A Lower Assembly
C Fixture

Caution: Be sure power is off at the main breaker box prior to installation

1. Carefully unpack the fixture from the carton.

2. Unthread lower assembly (A) from fixture (C) by turning counter

clockwise.

3. Save all parts for later use.

To Install Fixture to Ceiling

Component Parts

A Lower Assembly
B Canopy
C Fixture
D Ground Screw
E Crossbar

Caution: Be sure power is off at the main breaker box prior to installation

(Figure 2)

1. Using two machine screws (not provided) fasten crossbar (E) to the

electric box.

Note: A new electric box comes with screws. When replacing an existing
fixture, retain the screws for use with the new fixture.

2. Using suitable wire connectors (not provided); connect fixture wires to

supply wires (white to white and black to black).

Caution: Make sure wire connectors are twisted on securely, and no bare
wire is exposed.

3. Lift canopy (B) and connect all ground wires to green ground screw (D).

4. Push canopy (B) firmly to ceiling, making sure that no wires are pinched

between fixture canopy and ceiling.

5. Thread lower assembly (A) onto fixture (C) until snug to canopy (B).

To Install Bulb and Glass

Component Parts

F Socket
G Bulb (Included)
H Glass
I Retaining Ring
J Retaining Ring Tool
K Metal Shade

1. Install light bulb (G). Be careful not to touch bulb with bare hands; oil from the

hands will dramatically reduce bulb life.

2. Slip metal shade (K) onto glass (H) so it rests on lip.

3. Slip glass (H) with metal shade (K) installed over socket (F) and thread retaining

ring (I) onto socket (F) using provided retaining ring tool (J).

4. Restore electricity at main breaker.
