This product must be installed in accordance with applicable installation code(s), by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.*
Caution: Do not exceed maximum wattage noted on fixture. Use only recommended bulbs with fixture.
To Attach Stem Assembly (Figure 1)

Component Parts

A Stem Assembly B Fixture Coupling
1. Carefully unpack the fixture from the carton.
2. Carefully thread stem assembly (A), threaded end first, over fixture wires.
3. Apply a drop of the supplied thread locking compound to the internal threads of fixture
coupling (B) and screw into fixture, being careful not to twist the wires.
Note: Application of the thread locking compound is necessary to prevent the stem from loosening during regular maintenance and cleaning of the fixture. Be certain to apply the compound.
4. See instructions below to complete the installation.
To Install the Canopy (Figure 2)

Caution: Be sure power is off at the main breaker box prior to installation

1. Using two machine screws (not provided), fasten the crossbar (D) to the electric box
(see illustration).
Note: A new electric box comes with screws. When replacing a fixture, retain the existing screws for use with the new fixture.
2. Thread the nipple (F) into the crossbar (D) and secure with lock nut (E); slide
canopy (G) over nipple (F), and attach the canopy loop (I) to the nipple (F). Adjust the nipple to proper length to ensure a snug canopy fit before proceeding.
3. Attach one end of the chain to the loop assembly (J). Lace the wire through every
other link of the chain to the end. Slip wires and chain through the collars and canopy (G, H & I). Fasten the chain to the canopy loop (I). Make sure to provide enough slack in the wire to ensure weight of fixture is supported by the chain.
4. Using suitable wire connectors (not provided) connect fixture wires to supply wires
(white to ribbed side of the fixture s cord, black to smooth side). Run a pigtail lead from crossbar ground screw (C) to the junction box and connect all ground wires (bare copper or green to bare copper or green).
Caution: Make sure wire connectors are twisted on securely, and no bare wire is exposed.
5. Raise canopy (G) to the ceiling and secure loop collar (H) to canopy loop (I).

Install the Threaded Rods (Figure 3)

Component Parts

K Hex Nut (3) L Bob M Threaded Rod (3)
1. Slip straight end of threaded rod (M) through holes in bob (L).
2. Thread hex nut (K) onto threaded rod (M) until bottomed out and snug.
3. Lower threaded rod (M) until hex nut (K) sits flat inside bob (L).
To Install Glass (Figure 4)

M Threaded Rod (3) N Glass O Threaded Ball (3) P Ring Assembly
1. Insert the ends of two of the threaded rods (M)
through two of the holes in the ring assembly (P). Secure with threaded balls (O).
2. Place glass (N) in ring assembly. Insert remaining
support rod, securing with remaining threaded ball.
3. Level glass as needed.
4. Install light bu lbs pr io r to i n sta ll in g diffuser glass.

To Install Diffuser Glass (Figure 5)

Component Parts

Q Knurl Ball (4) R Diffuser Glass (2) S Threaded Stud (4)
1. Slip diffuser glass (R) over threaded stud (S).
2. Install knurl ball (Q) on to thread ed stud (S)
until snug against diffuser glass (R). Be careful not to over tighten.
3. Restore electricity at main breaker.
