The IAD is used indoors only. Pay attention to the following when
installing and using the IAD.

Basic requirements
Before installing and using the IAD, read this manual
carefully.
In case of failure, this equipment must be returned to
HUAWEI Authorized Service Station for Servicing to ensure
compliance with safety requirements.
Maximum ambient temperature around the equipment must
not exceed 40; For safety operation, the equipment should
be connected to telecommunication network only with No.
26 AWG or lager telephone line.
Power supply
The voltage of the power supply shall meet the requirement
of the input voltage of the power adapter.
The equipment only can use the AC/DC adaptor that
provided with the equipment.
In the case of thundering, unplug the power adapter and all
cables.

If the IAD is not in use for a long time, unplug the power
adapter.
Placement
Place the IAD on a stable table.
Leave over 10 cm distance around the IAD for heat
dissipation.
Do not place heavy objects on the IAD.

This manual applies to U-SYS IAD101S/101H/102H/104H Integrated
Access Device V300R001.
Organization
The manual introduces functions, data configuration, maintenance
and operation of the IAD101S/101H/102H/104H.
There are six chapters and an appendix in the manual.
Chapter 1 System Overview profiles location of the
IAD101S/101H/102H/104H in the NGN, system structure, and
function features of the IAD101S/101H/102H/104H.
Chapter 2 Device Installation introduces how to install the
IAD101S/101/102/104H and load software.
Chapter 3 Basic Configuration introduces how to use the command
lines and basic configurations of IAD101S/101/102/104H.
Chapter 4 MGCP Configuration introduces how to configure data of
the IAD101S/101/102/104H.

Chapter 1 System Overview
This chapter introduces functions and structure of the
IAD101S/101H/102H/104H. In this manual, the IAD represents the
IAD101S/101H/102H/104H.
1.1 Product Introduction
The IAD is an access media gateway (AMG), based on the
technologies of voice over IP (VoIP) and fax over IP (FoIP).
As an important part of the next generation network (NGN), it
provides the following:
Efficient and excellent voice services in the worldwide IP
network
Small-capacity VoIP/FoIP solutions for enterprises and
users in communities and companies
Figure 1-1 shows appearance of the IAD.

1.2 Services and Functions
The IAD supports MGCP (Media Gateway Control Protocol), SIP
(Session Initiation Protocol) and provides abundant voice and data
services, as listed below:

The IAD101S/101/102/104H includes a front panel and a rear
panel.
