In this guide, the following icons indicate the navigation keys of your phone:

Make a call.

Answer an incoming call.

View call logs in standby mode.

Power on or off the phone (by pressing and holding the key for about 3s).

End a call, or reject an incoming call.
z
Return to the standby mode.
Select the options displayed in the lower left corner of the screen.
Select the opti ons displayed in the lower right corner of the screen.
Confirm a selection.

Scroll through submenus on a menu screen or options on an option screen.

Access the functions assigned to the keys as
shortcuts in standby mode. To customize the functions assigned to the navigation keys, select Menu > Settings >
Phone settings > Dedicated key. Access Audio player in standby mode.
Delete characters.
z
Enter numbers, letters, and symbols.
z
Call the voicemail in standby mode (by
pressing and holding the 1 key for about
3s).
z
Speed-dial phone numbers in standby mode

(by pressing and holding the 2–9 keys for
about 3s if these keys have been set as
speed dial keys).
z
Select a menu item labeled with the
corresponding number.
z
Enter * (by pressing the key once), + (by
pressing the key twice in sequence), p (by
pressing the key three times in sequence),
or w (by pressing the key four times in
sequence) in standby mode.
z
Activate or deactivate the Silent profile in
standby mode (by pressing and holding the
key for about 3s).
z
Display the symbol list in any input mode.

Signal strength. Battery power level. New text messages. New multimedia messages. The earphone plugged in. Bluetooth enabled. Missed calls. An alarm activated. Keypad locked. A microSD card inserted.
The alert type is Ring only. The alert type is Vib. only.
The alert type is Vib. and ring. The alert type is Vib. then ring.

Installing the SIM Card and the
Battery
When installing the Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card on the phone, ensure that the golden contact area on the SIM card is facing downward and that the beveled edge of the SIM card is properly aligned with that of the SIM card slot.
The following figures show the installation of the SIM card and the battery.
Removing the Battery and the SIM
Card
Before removing the battery and the SIM card from the phone, ensure that your phone is powered off.
