A powerful industrial vacuum cleaner
for dedicated wet pick-up. Ideal for
liquid spillages and flooded areas.
Next fit the 3 wand sections together followed by the vacuum head.
To switch the vacuum ON simply move the ON/OFF switch to the ‘I’ position. To
switch OFF move the switch to the ‘0’ position.
Familiarise yourself with the switch and its location so that you can operate it quickly in an emergency.
All that remains is to plug the Vacuum into its power
supply and switch the supply ON.
Always position yourself so you can control the vacuums whereabouts while ensuring that neither the
hose or the power supply cable are under strain. Move the wand backward in straight strips across
the floor, working in a methodical pattern to ensure the entire area is vacuumed.
The first section of the wand has a black plastic collar which will allow you to reduce the vacuum power to 70 percent, simply turn to show an opening in
the tube.
This first section also enables you to change the height of the wand assembly depending on which
way round it is set.
When the waste tank is filled to its maximum capacity, the ball float will block the vacuum and the motor will race but there will be a loss of suction. When this happens, turn the vacuum OFF, then disconnect the vacuum from its power supply.
Un-clip the discharge hose from the rear of the waste tank and push the rubber ball seal off of the
hoses end. Empty the contents via the discharge hose into a suitable container or down a suitable drain if the liquid is safe to do so.
Once empty, push the rubber
ball seal back over the discharge hoses end, failure to refit the ball will render the vacuum unusable. Clip the hose back onto the rear of
the waste tank. Take your time and don’t overdo it. You are more
likely to have an accident if you are tired or rushing.
Never push the equipment beyond its design limits. If it will not do what you want with reasonable
ease and speed, assume you either have the wrong type

or size of model for the job. Contact your local HSS Hire Shop for advice.
Keep the equipment clean, you will find this less of a chore if you clean it regularly, rather than wait until the end of the hire period.
Remember, it is your responsibility to dispose of the
contents of the waste tank in a responsible manner.
Handle the equipment with care. Avoid dropping it,
knocking it, or otherwise exposing it to damage. When not in use, store the equipment somewhere
clean, dry and safe from thieves. Protect this machine from frost and freezing temperatures.
Switch OFF and unplug the vacuum. Disconnect the head, wand and hose then empty
the waste tank. Collect all the parts together, neatly coil the flex
and give the tool a final clean up ready for return,
to your local HSS Hire Shop.

GENERAL SAFETY
HSS Wet Vacuum Cleaners are designed to be used in a wet environment, and are perfectly safe to do so, provided that all electrical components, switches and leads are kept dry.
For extra protection against the risk of electric shock, use a suitable RCD (Residual
Current-Operated Device) available from your local HSS Hire Shop.
Ensure the Vacuum and power socket are switched OFF before plugging into the power supply.
When emptying the waste tank of liquid, it is not necessary to remove the motor housing or top filters. However... if the vacuum has picked up
waterborne debris, this will need to be removed.
Unclip and remove the motor unit, followed by the ball float filter then the secondary filter.
Tip the waste tank up to remove the remaining water and debris. If necessary, the waste tank can be
removed from the trolley. Simply unclip the rear catch and lift the tank from the trolley. This must only be done into a suitable container.
GETTING STARTED
Set the waste tank upright then replace the secondary filter followed by the ball float and motor unit securing it in place with the side clips.
Connect the hose to the waste tank by screwing on
to the inlet (clockwise).
