Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Der Styroporschneider ist ausschließlich zum Schneiden von Polystyrol-Hartschaum, schwerentflammbar
nach DIN 4102 bestimmt. Die beim Schneiden entstehenden Dämpfe sollten bei Arbeiten in Räumen mit einer
Absaugvorrichtung entfernt werden. PVC und PVC-Beschichtete Materialien dürfen wegen der beim
Schneiden entstehenden gesundheitsschädlichen Dämpfe nicht bearbeitet werden. Achten Sie beim Umgang
mit dem Gerät auf Verbrennungsgefahr. Die Schneidspitzen können Temperaturen bis ca. 500 Grad Celsius
erreichen. Die Schneidspitze nicht berühren, nachdem Sie den Schalthebel des Gerätes gedrückt haben. Das
Gerät nicht an Gegenstände lehnen, solange die Schneidspitze nicht völlig abgekühlt ist.

Ein Betrieb unter widrigen Umgebungsbedingungen ist nicht zulässig.
Widrige Umgebungsbedingungen sind:

• Nässe oder zu hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit,

• Staub und brennbare Gase, Dämpfe oder Lösungsmittel,

• starke Vibrationen.
Bei Nichtgebrauch des Gerätes ist der Stecker aus der Steckdose zu ziehen.

Sicherheitshinweise
Die Sicherheitshinweise sind unbedingt zu beachten!

Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder Verändern des
Gerätes nicht gestattet. Die Anschlussleitung kann nur mit Spezialwerkzeug, das dem Hersteller oder dessen
Kundendienst zur Verfügung steht, ausgewechselt werden.

Der Aufbau des Gerätes entspricht der Schutzklasse 2 (Schutzisolation). Es ist darauf zu achten, dass die
Isolierung des Gehäuses weder beschädigt noch zerstört wird.

Inbetriebnahme

1. Die am Kopf des Gerätes befindlichen Klemmschrauben lösen.

2. Schneidspitze in die Buchsen stecken.

3. Klemmschrauben fest anziehen.

4. Bevor Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose stecken, kontrollieren Sie die Anschluss-Spannung auf dem
Typenschild.

5. Das Gerät wird durch Drücken des Schalthebels eingeschaltet.
Nach einer Aufheizzeit von 10 Sekunden ist die Schneidspitzentemperatur erreicht.

6. Die Reinigung der Schneidspitze ist mit einer Messingbürste im warmen Zustand vorzunehmen.

7. Nach Beendigung der Schneidarbeit lassen Sie den Schalthebel los.

Das Gerät ist nicht für Dauerbetrieb, sondern für Aussetzbetrieb bestimmt.
Auf dem Typenschild bedeutet 12s/48s:

1. Zeitangabe (12s) die Betriebsperiode bei angemessenen Wärmeableitungsbedingun­gen, d.h. Arbeiten und die 2. Zeitangabe (48s) die Pause, in der das Gerät abgeschaltet ist.

Garantie

Für dieses Gerät erhalten Sie 1 Jahr Garantie ab Abnahme, die Schneidspitze ausgenommen.
Unter diese Garantie fallen alle Mängel, die auf evtl. Material- oder Fabrikationsfehlern beruhen.
Die Garantie erlischt bei unsachgemäßer oder missbräuchlicher Behandlung.

Entsorgung

Das Gerät darf nicht in den Hausmüll gelangen! Ein unbrauchbares Gerät ist beim Handel, dem
Hersteller oder den dafür eingerichteten, kommunalen Rücknahmestellen zurückzugeben!

Prescribed use

The Styrofoam-Cutter shall be used only to cut hardly inflammable rigid expanded polystyrene boards which
comply to DIN 4102. It may be necessary to provide an extraction fan to remove the fume when cutting in
closed rooms.

Never cut PVC and PVC-coated material, the toxic fumes is harmful.
Please be careful when working with the tool to prevent accidents such as burning yourself or your surroun-

dings.
The blades can reach temperatures of up to 500 °C.

Never touch the blade after the switch has been pressed down.
Do not lay the unit against any surface after using until the blade has cooled down.
Do not operate the product in unfavourable ambient conditions.
Unfavourable ambient conditions are:

• Moisture or too high air humidity,

• Dust and flammable gases, fumes or solvents,

• Strong vibrations.

Always unplug the unit when not used.

Safety instructions
Observe this safety instructions at all time!

The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety and appro­val reasons (CE).

The connection cable is to be replaced only by the manufacturer or his servicing agent who have a special
tool available.

This appliance has a polarized plug (US-type: one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

The structure of the heatcutter complies with the safety class II. Make sure that the insulation of the housing
is neither damaged nor destroyed.

Operation

1. Unscrew the binding screws.

2. Insert the cutting blade.

3. Tighten binding screws again carefully.

4. Before you plug in the tool, check the voltage which is indicated on the label.

5. When you press down the switch the cutting blade heats up. After about 6-8 secs. the suitable cutting
temperature is received.

6. The blade may be cleaned with a metal brush while it is still warm.

7. After working release the switch of the heatcutter

Do not hold the unit in "ON" position continuously to prevent abnormal high blade tem­perature.

Allow the blade to cool down during operation. The indication "intermittent operation 1/4
min." means the following. The tool is not dimensioned for continuous operation. After 1/4
minute of heating respectively working with the tool it shall cool down for 3/4 minutes.

Guarantee

HSGM GmbH warrant this appliance (with exception of the blade) for a period of 1 years commencing with
the date of sale. The guarantee is given against defects in material and workmanship. It is voided by impro­per operation, disassembly, repair or alteration by owner or unauthorized third parties.

Utilisation conforme aux dispositions

L’appareil de découpage de polystyrène expansé est destiné exclusivement à découper la mousse dure en
polystyrène, difficilement inflammable selon la norme DIN 4102.

Les vapeurs générées lors de la coupe doivent être éliminées avec un dispositif d’aspiration lorsque le travail
est exécuté dans des locaux. Le PVC et les matériaux enduits de PVC ne doivent pas être usinés à cause des
vapeurs nocives générées lors de la coupe.

Soyez prudent lors de l’utilisation de l’appareil à cause du risque de brûlure. Les pointes de découpage peu­vent atteindre des températures jusqu’à 500 degrés Celsius. Ne touchez pas la pointe de découpage après
avoir enfoncé le levier de commutation de l’appareil.

Ne posez pas l’appareil contre des objets tant que la pointe de découpage n’est pas entièrement refroidie.
Il est interdit de faire fonctionner l’appareil dans des conditions ambiantes non conformes.
