Scaling up with the MSL6480 couldn't be easier:
• Start with an empty Base Library and standard redundant power supplies.
• Add between 1 and 6 LTO-5,LTO-6, or LTO-7 half-height tape drives or 1 to 3 LTO-5 full-
height tape drives, and utilize up to 80 cartridge slots - a fully configured base unit with LTO7 provides a max capacity of up to 8,400 TBs (assuming 2.5:1 compression)
• Then add between 1 and 6 empty expansion modules to the Base Library - each 6U
expansion module includes standard redundant power supplies. Expansion modules can be
flexibly installed above or below the base library module.
• You can then configure each expansion module with up to 6x LTO-7, LTO-6, LTO-5or LTO-4
half-height tape drives or 3 LTO-5 FC tape drives, and utilize up to 80 cartridge slots
*Assumes fully loaded with LTO-6 at a 2.5:1 data compression ratio
