SERVICE OVERVIEW
Available in conveniently packaged oerings, HPE Composable Infrastructure Migration Service for HPE Synergy and HPE SimpliVity simplifies the migration process and provides a flexible way to migrate your organization’s critical virtual machines (VMs)/data safely, with minimal impact on your operations.
VMs/data focused migration services are available through unique VM/data migration SKUs under the Advisory and Professional Services umbrella, enabling a migration solution that can be easily attached to the HPE product configuration. Always consider purchasing HPE Composable Infrastructure Migration Services for HPE Synergy and HPE SimpliVity migrations in conjunction with installation and startup services for all HPE Synergy and HPE SimpliVity products.

PREREQUISITES
HPE Composable Infrastructure Migration Services exclude required HPE Installation and Startup Services, which must be purchased separately.
SERVICE ELIGIBILITY
Customers are eligible for the delivery of this service if they meet all the prerequisites, as identified during the service planning session. Prerequisites include, but are not limited to, the following:
• The correct migration service and quantity as outlined in the Ordering information section, are purchased by the Customer
• Have one or more HPE Synergy and/or HPE SimpliVity servers installed, VMware ESXi™ and VMware vSphere® vMotion® on the server/compute node, fully operational, and ready for migration
• Have all cabling and network connections between the source and the target HPE environment installed and functional
SERVICE LIMITATIONS
Services will be performed during local HPE business days and hours, excluding HPE holidays. The service is delivered as a single event at one physical site.
After each migration is completed, a small service downtime may be required for the final cutover to the target environment; thus, the Customer has to define and clearly state a daily timeframe within which VMs can be powered o and restarted to the new HPE target environments.
The Customer must order additional services (using the SKUs set forth in this data sheet) if the number of VMs and data to be migrated is greater than the single SKU limit required—up to 50 VMs including 50 TB of data. Contact HPE sales representatives for more details.
Activities such as, but not limited to, the following are excluded from this service:
• Service delivery targeting hardware not covered by an HPE warranty or service maintenance contract
• Service delivery on hardware not covered by a third-party maintenance contract
• Application integration or integration of third-party products or peripherals not included with the system

• Backup, recovery, and support of the operating system, other software, and data
• Operational, functional, performance testing of applications, or additional tests requested or required by the Customer
• Integration with any hardware or software components not supported by the HPE Synergy and/or HPE SimpliVity products
• Any services not clearly specified in this document or in an associated statement of work (SOW)
• Assembly of racks or other computer room site preparation
• Software training, troubleshooting, repair, tuning, or customization

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Customer will:
• Contact an HPE service specialist within 90 days of the date of purchase to schedule the delivery of the service
• Ensure that all service prerequisites as identified in the Service eligibility section have been met prior to delivery of the services
• Assign a designated person from the Customer’s sta who, on behalf of the Customer, will grant all approvals
• Provide information; ensure that all hardware, firmware, and software and network connectivity that the HPE service specialist will need to deliver this service are available and that software products are properly licensed; otherwise, be available to assist HPE in facilitating the delivery of this service
• Adhere to licensing terms and conditions regarding the use of any HPE service tools used to facilitate the delivery of this service, if applicable
• Be responsible for all data backup and restore operations
• Be responsible for all applications’ testing
• Allow HPE full and unrestricted access to all locations where the service will be performed on-site and provide a suitable work area for delivery of the service, including access to an outside telephone line, power, and any network connections required
• Allow HPE remote access, when the service is to be performed from remote
• Coordinate service deployment on third-party-maintained products with HPE, if applicable
GENERAL PROVISIONS/OTHER EXCLUSIONS
• The reference migration tools used to support this service are VMware vSphere vMotion and VMware vCenter® Converter™.
• Scheduled delivery of services will be coordinated between the HPE project manager and the Customer.
• HPE reserves the right to reprice this service if the Customer does not schedule and provide for subsequent delivery within 90 days of purchase and/or, if the Customer will not promptly react during the execution of the migration. HPE’s ability to deliver this service is dependent upon the Customer’s full and timely cooperation with HPE, as well as the accuracy and completeness of any information and data the Customer provides to HPE.
• HPE reserves the right to charge the Customer—on a time-and-materials basis—for any additional work required to address service prerequisites, other requirements that are not met by the Customer, canceled or rescheduled migration events, or extended Customer migration cutover.
• HPE’s ability to deliver this service is dependent upon the Customer’s full and timely cooperation with HPE, as well as the accuracy and completeness of any information and data the Customer provides.
