• Insure the signal conductors have the proper
impedance
• Measure the minimum and maximum impedances
found between the connector and the open circuited
far end of the cable
•Z 0 = 90 ohm ± 15% (differential)
•Z CM = 30 ohm ± 30% (common-mode)

Propagation Delay
•Verify the end-to-end propagation of the cable
•For a standard USB detachable cable, the cable delay
is measured from the Series A connector pins to the
Series B connector pins
• For other cables, the delay is measured from the
Series A connector to the point where the cable is
connected to the device
