S361-MB Mains Relay

This relay is designed for switching a 240vac mains load of up to 5A operated by a 12vdc input. The 12vdc relay coil is rated at 35mA. The
relay is contained within a white plastic single gang enclosure.

The enclosure is tampered and contains a relay with double pole change over contacts rated 5A at 240vac or 12/24vdc. The relay coil
requires 12vdc to operate. An LED is also provided which illuminates when the relay is energised. The tamper switch is normally closed
and opens when the face plate is removed from the wall. An earth terminal is also provided for convenient termination of an in coming
mains cable. As the enclosures are all plastic, no earth connection is required.

To operate the relay, apply 12vdc to the + and - terminals. The spring provided for the tamper switch needs to be pushed on to the tamper
switch before finally fixing the face plate in place.

If the relay is to be used for mains switching, then the mains wiring should be installed as specified by the current edition of the IEE wiring
regulations or as specified by the relevant country specific wiring regulations.

The enclosure is supplied un-labelled. The decal (included) has a clear window 10mm x 46mm. The area under the decal is 12mm wide to
take standard labelling machine tape. The window is free from adhesive, nevertheless, it is wise to maintain cleanliness and avoid fingerprints on
the inside of the window. If a labelling machine is not available a paper label can be used and examples are given below complete with cutting
and folding lines. If the text you require is not shown here then it is a fairly simple matter to make one with a word processing or graphics
programme. The dimensions here are given to help you.
