WATERHEATERSAFETY
Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a water heater that has not been used for two weeks or more. Hydrogen gas can be explosive under these circumstances.
If the hot water has not been used for two weeks or more, prevent the possibility of damage or injury by turning on all hot water faucets and allowing them to run for several minutes. Do this before usingany
electrical appliance which is connected to the hot water system. Thissimple procedurewill allow any built-up hydrogen gasto escape. Sincethe gas isflammable, do not smoke or use an open flame or

Thechart below will help you match the wash cycle setting with your clothing. Thechart isranked from longestto shortest cycle time and wash intensity.

PREWASH Forremovingsurface dirt from heavily soiledclothes. Make sure to follow with a
regular wash cycle.
COTTONS For heavy to lightly soiledcottons, household linens,work and play clothes.
WRINKLEFREE For easy care,wrinkle-free and permanent pressitems.
DELICATES Forlingerieand special-care fabrics with light to normal soil.
KNITS Specially designedfor normally soiled knits.
Custom Care (on some models)
Theagitator moves clothes around for a cleaner wash;the basket spins later in the cycle to releasewater from the load. TheWash/Spin Speeddial setsthe speed of both the agitator andthe basket.
Wash Speeds: With Normal wash speed, the agitator willmove at a higher speed. Use for cottons, denims and play clothes.
With Gentle wash speed, the agitator moves slower. Use for delicate and knit items.
Spin Speeds:
The Fast spin speed is for normal items. Use it to remove more water from your clothes to allow them to dry faster
in the dryer. TheSlow spinspeed isfor delicate items likesweaters and lingerie.When usingSlowspin speed,clotheswill be lessdry
than when using Fast spinspeed.
About washer features.
The Agitator Cap or Fabric Softener Dispenser (depending on model)
Theagitator cap fits intothe top of the
agitator. If it accidentally comes off, simply put it back on.
Thefabric softener dispenser automatically releasesliquid fabric softener at the proper
time during the cycle.
Do not stop thewasher during the first spin. This will cause the dispenser to empty
too soon.

the maximum fill line.
Separate for cleaning

insideof the cup with your fingers. Dispensercup will pop freefrom the cover.
_]To clean the dispenser,soak both the dispensercup and the dispensercover in the
following solution: [] J USgallon (5.8liters)warm water
[] J/4 cup (60m!)heavy-duty liquid detergent [] J cup (240m!)bleach
r_lf necessary,loosen buildup with aclean,soft cloth after soaking.Do not usea stiff brush;
you may roughen the surface of the dispenser.
_] Rinseand reassemble dispenser.Placedispenserback on the agitator.
Liquid Bleach Funnel (onsome models)
The water fill dilutes liquid chlorine bleach asthe washer fills for the wash cucle.
