Dónde instalar la secadora
●
Instale la secadora alejada de estufas, calentadores,
calderas o cocinas de gas, ya que las llamas
pueden dañarla.
●
Distancia mínima 10 mm

Asegúrese de que las ranuras de ventilación
trasera no queden obstruidas.
●
Instale la secadora en un entorno que no sea húmedo
y con buena circulación de aire. La secadora no
funcionará de manera eficiente en un espacio
cerrado o en un armario.
! No recomendamos instalar la secadora en un armario,
aunque nunca debe instalarla detrás de una puerta con
cerradura, una puerta corredera o una puerta con la
bisagra del lado opuesto de la puerta de la secadora.
Si va a instalar la secadora
debajo de una encimera,
asegúrese de dejar un
espacio de 10 mm entre la
parte superior y cualquier
otro objeto o por encima de
la máquina, y un espacio de
15 mm a ambos lados. Esto
tiene por objeto permitir una
adecuada circulación del aire.
Ventilación
La secadora seca la colada aplicando aire fresco, limpio
y relativamente seco, calentándolo y, a continuación,
distribuyéndolo por las prendas a medida que van
girando a baja velocidad. Para un funcionamiento
óptimo, el aire húmedo es extraído a través de un
tubo de ventilación situado en la parte posterior de la
secadora.
Cuando la secadora esté en uso, debe tener una
ventilación adecuada para evitar el reflujo de gases a
la estancia, procedente de aparatos que utilicen otros
combustibles, incluyendo llama abierta.
Ventilación móvil
Siempre se instalará un tubo de ventilación cuando
la secadora se utilice junto con ventilación móvil.
El tubo debe fijarse firmemente a la parte posterior de
la secadora (véase Descripción de la secadora). En
la medida de lo posible, lo ideal es conectar el tubo a
una salida permanente próxima a la secadora. Si no
es posible una instalación permanente, la secadora
funcionará igualmente bien si el tubo pasa a través de
una ventana parcialmente abierta.
! Asegúrese de que el extremo del tubo no esté dirigido
hacia la boca de admisión de aire situada en la parte
posterior de la secadora.
! El tubo de ventilación no debe tener más de 2,4 metros
de longitud, y debe evitarse la posible acumulación
de borra, agua y suciedad sacudiéndolo con frecuencia.
Asegúrese siempre de que el tubo no esté retorcido.
Ventilación permanente
Junto con el tubo de ventilación recomendamos
utilizar un kit de ventilación de pared/ventana,
que podrá adquirir en una tienda o en el
distribuidor de recambios más próximo.
Montaje en la pared

Montaje en la ventana

la secadora apilada, lo
ideal es practicar el
orificio en la ventana
debajo de la
ventilación.
2. Trate de que el tubo
sea lo más corto
posible.
En función de la frecuencia de uso de la secadora,
es esencial verificar las áreas A y B para eliminar la
borra u otros restos.
El adaptador del tubo de ventilación debe instalarse
firmemente para evitar la emisión de aire húmedo a la
estancia.
! Evite empujar la secadora hacia atrás de manera
que el adaptador de tubo se salga de su posición o el
tubo quede torcido u obturado.
! El tubo debe estar apartado del orificio de admisión
de aire. Evite retorcerlo, ya que ello obstruirá el tubo o
atrapará la condensación.

! Asegúrese de que la secadora esté adecuadamente
ventilada y de que el final del tubo de ventilación no
esté orientado hacia el conducto de admisión de aire.
! El tubo debe estar siempre instalado para garantizar
un funcionamiento óptimo.
! Asegúrese de que el tubo de ventilación y los
orificios de admisión de aire nunca estén obstruidos o
bloqueados.
! La secadora no debe reciclar aire de escape.
! El uso inadecuado de una secadora puede provocar
riesgo de incendio.
! No descargue el aire de escape en un conducto de
humos empleado para el escape de humos de otros
equipos que quemen gas u otros combustibles.
! No descargue el aire de escape a un sistema de
extracción u otro conducto equipado con un
ventilador de extracción. Esto afectará al
funcionamiento de los mandos térmicos y puede
provocar riesgo de incendio.
Conexiones eléctricas
Antes de enchufar el cable en la toma de red
eléctrica, compruebe lo siguiente:
●
La toma de corriente debe estar puesta a tierra.
●
La toma de corriente debe estar preparada para la
potencia máxima de la secadora, indicada en la
placa de identificación (véase Descripción de la
secadora).
●
La tensión eléctrica deberá ser acorde a los
valores indicados en la placa de identificación
(véase Descripción de la secadora).
●
La toma de red debe ser compatible con el
enchufe de la secadora. En caso contrario,
sustituya el enchufe o la toma de red.
! No utilice cables de extensión.
! El cable eléctrico no debe aplastarse ni retorcerse.
! El cable eléctrico debe revisarse periódicamente. En
caso necesario, debe ser sustituido por un cable
especialmente preparado para la secadora, tarea que
se confiará exclusivamente a electricistas cualificados
(véase Solución de problemas).
! El fabricante declina toda responsabilidad en caso
de incumplirse cualquiera de estas normas.
! En caso de duda sobre las mismas, consulte a un
electricista cualificado.
Nivelado de la secadora
Para funcionar
correctamente, la
secadora debe instalarse
nivelada.
Una vez instalada la
secadora en su ubicación
definitiva, verifique que
esté nivelada de lado a
lado y, a continuación, de
adelante hacia atrás.
Si la secadora no está
nivelada, utilice un bloque
de madera para apoyarla
mientras ajusta las dos
patas delanteras hasta
que quede nivelada.
Antes de empezar a utilizar la secadora
Una vez instalada la secadora, antes de utilizarla
limpie el interior del tambor para eliminar el polvo que
pudiera haberse acumulado durante el transporte.

! La secadora no debe instalarse en exteriores,
incluso bajo techo. Puede ser muy peligroso exponerla
a la lluvia o tormentas.
! Una vez instalada la secadora, su cable eléctrico y
enchufe deben ser fácilmente accesibles.

La Guía de programas especiales muestra los
programas disponibles.
Con el mando PROGRAMAS se selecciona el
programa: gírelo hacia la derecha, nunca hacia la
izquierda, hasta que el indicador señale el programa
de su preferencia (véase Puesta en marcha y
programas). Una vez concluido el programa, el mando
PROGRAMAS se desplazará hasta la posición ‘0’.

Puesta en marcha y programas
Selección de un programa
1. Enchufe la secadora a la toma de corriente eléctrica.
2. Clasifique la colada en función del tipo de tejido
(véase Colada).
3. Abra la puerta y asegúrese de que el filtro esté
limpio y bien colocado (véase Mantenimiento).
4. Cargue la máquina y asegúrese de que no quede
ninguna prenda atrapada en la junta de la puerta.
Cierre la puerta.
5. Seleccione el programa de secado consultando la
tabla Programas (véase Programas) y las
instrucciones para cada tipo de tejido (véase Colada).
- Ajuste la temperatura con el botón TEMPERATURA.
- Seleccione un programa o tiempo de secado
girando hacia la derecha el mando PROGRAMAS.

Programa Planchado fácil (Easy Iron)
Planchado fácil es un breve programa de 10 minutos (8 minutos de calor seguidos de 2 minutos de ahuecado) que
ahueca las fibras de las prendas que han quedado en la misma posición/lugar durante un período prolongado de
tiempo. El ciclo ablanda las fibras y facilita su planchado y plegado.
! Planchado fácil no es un programa de secado y no debe utilizarse para prendas mojadas.
Para obtener resultados óptimos:
1. No cargue más de la capacidad máxima. Las cifras hacen referencia al peso en seco:

2. Inmediatamente después de finalizar el programa, descargue la secadora. Cuelgue, pliegue o planche las

La eficacia de Planchado fácil puede variar en función del tejido. Es muy eficaz con fibras tradicionales, como
algodón normal o mezcla de algodón normal, y menos eficaz con acrílicas.

Colada
Selección de la colada
●
Observe los símbolos de las etiquetas de las prendas
para asegurarse de que los artículos pueden
secarse con esta secadora.
●
Clasifique la colada por tipo de fibra.
●
Vacíe los bolsillos y compruebe los botones.
●
Cierre cremalleras y ganchos, y ate cintas y
cinturones.
●
Retuerza cada prenda para eliminar todo el exceso
de agua que sea posible.
! No cargue prendas mojadas en la secadora.
Carga máxima
No cargue más de la capacidad máxima.
Las cifras hacen referencia al peso en seco:

! NO sobrecargue la secadora, ya que ello mermará

Observe las etiquetas de las prendas, en especial la
primera vez que vaya a ponerlas en la secadora. Los

Artículos que contengan gomas, materiales afines
o películas de plástico (almohadas, cojines o
prendas impermeables de PVC); objetos inflamables
o que contengan sustancias inflamables (por ejemplo,
toallas con laca para cabello).
●
Fibras de vidrio (ciertos tipos de cortinados).
●
Prendas que han sido limpiadas a seco
●
Prendas con el código ITCL (véase Prendas
especiales). Éstas pueden limpiarse con productos
de limpieza especiales. Siga las instrucciones al
pie de la letra.
●
Artículos muy voluminosos (edredones, sacos de
dormir, almohadas, cojines, colchas grandes, etc).
Estos artículos se expanden al secarse, impidiendo
la circulación de aire en la secadora.

Al final del ciclo de secardo, las prendas de algodón
todavía estarán húmedas si las secó conjuntamente
con prendas de planchado permanente. En ese caso,
sométalas a un breve período adicional de secado.

Colada
ES
Prendas especiales
Mantas y colchas: los artículos de fibras acrílicas
(Acilan, Courtelle, Orion, Dralon) deben secarse con
especial cuidado con el ajuste de BAJA temperatura.
Evite secarlas durante períodos prolongados.
Prendas plisadas o telas arrugadas: lea las instrucciones
del fabricante de la prenda.
Artículos almidonados: no los seque conjuntamente
con prendas no almidonadas. Asegúrese de que la
solución almidonada haya sido eliminada todo lo posible
de la carga antes de colocar las prendas en la
secadora. Evite secarlas en exceso: el almidón se
tornará pulvurulento, dejando las prendas fláccidas,
con lo que quedará sin efecto la aplicación de
almidón.
Tiempos de secado
La siguiente tabla indica, en minutos, los tiempos de
secado APROXIMADOS.
Los pesos hacen referencia a las prendas en seco:
Los tiempos son aproximados y pueden variar en
función de:
●
El volumen de agua que retengan las prendas tras
el centrifugado: las toallas y prendas delicadas
retienen mucha agua.
●
Tejidos: las prendas del mismo tipo de tejido, pero
diferentes texturas y espesores, pueden no tener el
mismo tiempo de secado.
●
Calidad de la colada: las prendas individuales o
las carga pequeñas pueden tardar más tiempo en
secarse.
●
Grado de secado: si tiene previsto planchar algunas
de las prendas, puede retirarlas estando aún un
poco húmedas. Otras pueden dejarse más tiempo
si las necesita completamente secas.
●
Ajuste de la temperatura.
●
Temperatura ambiente: si la estancia en la que
está instalada la secadora es fría, las prendas
tardarán más tiempo en secarse.

Volumen: algunas prendas voluminosas pueden
secarse con cuidado. Recomendamos retirarlas
varias veces, sacudirlas y devolverlas a la secadora
hasta concluir el proceso.
! No seque las prendas en exceso.
Todas las fibras contienen una mínima humedad
natural que las mantiene suaves y esponjosas.

Advertencias e instrucciones
de seguridad
●
! La secadora ha sido diseñada y fabricada de
conformidad con las normas de seguridad internacionales.
Estas advertencias se incluyen por motivos de
seguridad, y deben leerse detenidamente.
Seguridad general
●
La secadora no está prevista para ser utilizada por
personas (incluyendo niños) con capacidades físicas,
sensoriales o mentales mermadas, o que carezcan
de experiencia y conocimientos, salvo si están bajo
la supervisión o siguen las instrucciones de una
persona responsable por su seguridad.
●
Esta secadora de tambor ha sido diseñada para
uso doméstico, y no industrial.
●
No toque la secadora si está descalzo o con pies o
manos húmedos.
●
Desenchufe la secadora tirando del enchufe,
nunca del cable.
●
Mientras la secadora esté siendo utilizada, no debe
haber niños en sus proximidades. Tras usar la
secadora, apáguela y desenchúfela. Mantenga la
puerta cerrada para evitar que los niños puedan
utilizarla en sus juegos.
●
Los niños deben ser vigilados para asegurar que
no jueguen con la secadora.
●
La secadora debe ser instalada correctamente y
disponer de la ventilación adecuada. Nunca
deberán obstruirse las aberturas de admisión (en
la parte delantera) ni de salida de aire (en la parte
posterior) de la máquina (véase Instalación).
●
Nunca dirija la salida del tubo de ventilación hacia
la admisión de aire situada en la parte posterior de
la secadora.
●
No permita que la secadora recicle el aire de escape.
●
No instale la secadora sobre una moqueta si la
altura de las fibras de la misma impide la entrada
de aire desde la base.
●
Antes de cargar la secadora, cerciórese de que esté
vacía.
●
La parte trasera de la secadora puede alcanzar
altas temperaturas. Evite tocar esa zona
mientras esté en uso.
●
No utilice la secadora a menos que el filtro esté firme
y correctamente instalado (véase Mantenimiento).
●
No utilice suavizantes de ropa líquidos en la
secadora. Añada esta sustancia en el aclarado
final de la colada.
●
No sobrecargue la secadora (consulte las cargas
máximas en Colada).
●
No cargue prendas mojadas.
●
Cargue en la secadora sólo prendas que hayan
sido lavadas con agua y detergente, aclaradas y
sometidas al ciclo de centrifugado. Secar prendas
que no hayan sido lavadas con agua constituye un
riesgo de incendio.
GUARDE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES
Verifique cuidadosamente las instrucciones de las
etiquetas de las prendas (véase Colada).
●
No seque prendas tratadas con productos químicos.
●
Nunca seque prendas contaminadas con sustancias
inflamables (aceite de cocina, acetona, alcohol, gasolina,
queroseno, quitamanchas, trementina, ceras,
quitaceras y lacas para el cabello), salvo si
previamente las ha lavado en agua caliente con
una dosis adicional de detergente.
●
No coloque en la secadora artículos y prendas con
goma seca o refuerzo de goma, almohadas o
almohadones con gomaespuma, espuma de látex,
caucho, plástico, gorras de baño, telas impermeables,
polietileno o papel.
●
Retire todos los objetos de los bolsillos, especialmente
mecheros (riesgo de explosión).
●
No cargue en la secadora artículos muy grandes y
voluminosos.
●
No seque fibras de acrílico a altas temperaturas.
●
Concluya cada programa con su fase de enfriamiento.
●
No apague la secadora mientras en su interior
haya todavía prendas calientes.
●
Limpie el filtro después de cada uso (véase
Mantenimiento).
●
Evite que se acumule borra y suciedad en torno a
la secadora.
●
Nunca se trepe sobre la secadora. Ésta podría
dañarse.
●
Cumpla siempre las normas y requisitos eléctricos
(véase Instalación).
●
Utilice siempre recambios y accesorios originales
(véase Solución de problemas).
! ADVERTENCIA: Nunca pare la secadora antes del final
del ciclo de secado, a menos que retire rápidamente
todas las prendas y las extienda para disipar el calor.
Normas de vertido y retirada del servicio
●
Vertido de los materiales de embalaje: cumpla lo
dispuesto por las normas locales, de modo que los
materiales de embalaje puedan reciclarse.
●
Vertido de la secadora antigua: corte el cable
eléctrico y retire la puerta antes de proceder al
vertido de la secadora usada.
Ahorro de energía y protección del
medio ambiente
●
Escurra o centrifugue las prendas para eliminar el
exceso de agua antes de secarlas (si utiliza
primero una lavadora, seleccione un ciclo de
centrifugado alto). De este modo ahorrará tiempo y
electricidad durante el secado.
●
Trate siempre de llenar la secadora para ahorrar
electricidad: las prendas individuales o cargas
pequeñas tardan más en secarse.
●
Limpie el filtro después de cada uso para reducir el
consumo eléctrico (véase Mantenimiento).

Mantenimiento y cuidados

Cuándo desconectar la electricidad
Desenchufe la secadora cuando no la esté utilizando,
cuando la esté limpiando y durante las actividades de
mantenimiento.
Limpieza del filtro después de cada
ciclo
El filtro es una pieza importante de la secadora:
allí se acumulan la borra y las fibras generadas por el
proceso de secado. Además, es posible que prendas
pequeñas queden atascadas en el filtro. Por consiguiente,
tras cada secado limpie el filtro lavándolo bajo el
grifo, o bien con una aspiradora. En caso de que el
filtro quedase obturado, la circulación del aire dentro
de la secadora se vería seriamente afectada: en ese

Where to put your dryer
●
Place your dryer away from gas ranges, stoves,
heaters, or cook tops because flames can damage
the appliance.
●

that is not damp and has proper air circulation
throughout, the dryer will not operate efficiently in

lockable door, a sliding door or a door with a hinge on
the opposite side to that of the dryer door.
If you are going to install the

Permanent venting
In conjunction with the vent tube we recommend
using a Wall/Window Vent Kit, available at a retail
location or the nearest Spare Parts Dealer.
Wall mounting
1. Leave an opening in
the wall to the left of the
dryers proposed position.

and straight as possible
to prevent condensed
moisture from backing up
into the dryer.
3. Similarly, the duct in
the wall should slope
downwards towards the
outside.
Window mounting

should ideally be made
below the vent.
2. The tube should be
kept as short as possible.
The Dryer dries your laundry by drawing in cool, clean
and relatively dry air, heating it, and then distributing it
through the clothes as they are gently tumbled. For
optimum performance, the moist air is then blown out
through a vent tube at the back of the dryer.
When the dryer is in use, there has to be adequate
ventilation to avoid the back flow of gases into the room
from appliances burning other fuels, including open fires.
Mobile venting
A vent tube must always be fitted when the dryer is
used in conjunction with Mobile Venting.
The tube must be fitted securely into the back of the
dryer (see Dryer Description). If possible, it is always
best to connect the tube to a permanent
outlet close to the dryer. If permanent installation is
not possible, the dryer will work just as well with the
tube passing through a partly-opened window.
! Ensure that the end of the tube is not directed
toward the air intake vent at the rear of the dryer.
! The vent tube should not exceed 2.4 metres in
length and should be kept free of any possible
accumulation of fluff, lint and water by shaking it out
frequently. Always ensure that the tube is not
squashed.
Depending on how often you use your dryer, it is
essential that areas A and B are checked periodically
to remove lint or debris.
The vent tube adaptor must be fitted securely to
prevent any humid air from being emitted back into
the room.
! The Dryer should not be pushed so far back that the
tube adaptor is pulled out of position or the tube is
squashed or bent.
! The tube should be kept clear of the air intake vent
and kinks or ‘U’ bends must be avoided as these will
obstruct the tube or trap condensation.

! Ensure that the dryer is adequately ventilated and
that the end of the vent tube is not directed towards
the air intake duct.
! The vent tube must always be fitted for optimum
performance.
! Make sure that the vent tube and air intake vents are
not obstructed or blocked.
! The dryer must not recycle exhaust air.
! Misusing a tumble dryer may create a fire hazard.
! Do not discharge exhaust air into a flue which is
used for exhaust fumes from other appliances that
burn gas or other fuels.
! Do not discharge exhaust air into an extraction
system or any duct with an extractor fan. This will
affect the way the thermal controls operate and can
result in a fire hazard.
! Do not use extension cords.
! The power cord must not be bent or squashed.
! The power supply cord should be checked periodically
and replaced by a cord specially made for this dryer
and fitted only by authorised technicians (see
Troubleshooting).
! The manufacturer denies any responsibility should
any of these rules not be followed.
! If in doubt about any of the above consult a certified
electrician.
Levelling your dryer
The dryer must be installed level for correct operation.
When you have installed
your dryer in its final
location check that it is
level first side to side,
then front to back.

Electrical connections
Make sure of the following before you insert the plug
into the the electrical socket:
●
The socket must be grounded.
●
The socket must be able to sustain the machines
maximum power, which is indicated on the rating
label (see Dryer Description).
●
Power voltage must be within the values indicated
on the rating label (see Dryer Description).
●
The socket must be compatible with the dryers
plug. Should this not be the case, replace the
plug or the socket.
! The dryer must not be installed outdoors, even if the
space is sheltered. It can be very dangerous if it is
exposed to rain or storms.
! Once installed, the dryers electrical wire and plug
must be within easy reach.
If the dryer is not level,
use a wooden block to
support it while adjusting
the two front legs up or
down, until your dryer is
level.
Before you start using your dryer
Once you have installed your dryer and before you
use it, clean the inside of the drum to remove any
dust that could have accumulated during transport.

The Special Programs Guide gives a guide to the
available programs.
The PROGRAMS knob sets the program: rotate it
clockwise, never counter-clockwise, until the
indicator is pointing to the program you want to select
(see Start and Programs). The programs knob will
advance to the ‘0’ position after the program ends.

Start and Programs
Choosing a program
1. Plug the dryer into the electrical socket.
2. Sort your laundry according to fabric type (see
Laundry).
3. Open the door and make sure the filter is clean
and in place (see Maintenance).
4. Load the machine and make sure that the items
are not in the way of the door seal. Close the door.
5. Choose the drying program by checking the
Programs table (see Programs) as well as the
indications for each type of fabric (see Laundry).
- Set the temperature with the HEAT button.
- Select a program or drying time by rotating the
PROGRAMS knob clockwise.
6. Press the START button to begin.
During the drying program, you can check on
your laundry and take out items that are dry
while others continue drying. When you close
the door again, press START in order to resume
drying.
7. About 10 minutes before the program is
completed, it enters the final AIR FLUFF phase
(fabrics are cooled), which should always be
allowed to complete.
8. Open the door, take your laundry out, clean the
filter and replace it (see Maintenance).
9. Unplug the dryer.

Easy Iron Program
Easy Iron is a short 10 minute program (8 minutes of heat followed by a 2 minute Air Fluff period) which fluffs the
fibers of clothing that have been left in the same position/location for an extended period of time. The cycle relaxes
the fibers and makes them easier to iron and fold.
! Easy Iron is not a drying program and should not be used for wet articles of clothing.
For best results:
1. Do not load more than the maximum capacity.
These numbers refer to the dry weight:

or Regular Cotton mix, and less well on acrylic fibers.

Wash Care Labels
Look at the labels on your garments, especially when
tumble drying for the first time. The following symbols

Articles that contain rubber or rubber-like materials
or plastic film (pillows, cushions, or PVC rainwear),

●
Items which have been dry cleaned.
●
Items with the ITCL Code (see Special clothing
items) . These can be cleaned with special
at-home dry cleaning products. Follow instructions
carefully.

Large bulky items (quilts, sleeping bags, pillows,
cushions, large bedspreads etc). These expand
when drying and would prevent airflow through
the dryer.

At the end of a drying cycle, cottons could still be
damp if you grouped cottons and permanent press
items together. If this happens simply give them an

Special clothing items
Blankets and Bedspreads: acrylic items (Acilan,
Courtelle, Orion, Dralon) must be dried with special
care on LOW heat setting. Avoid drying for a long
period of time.
Pleated or creased garments: read the manufacturer’s
drying instructions on the garment.
Starched articles: do not dry these with non-starched
items. Make sure that as much of the starch solution is
removed from the load as possible before placing it in
the dryer. Do not over-dry: the starch will become
powdery and leave your clothing limp, which defeats
the purpose of starch.

The table below presents APPROXIMATE drying times
in minutes. Weights refer to dry garments:

Times are approximate and can vary depending
upon:

Amount of water retained in clothes after spin
cycle: towels and delicates retain a lot of water.
●
Fabrics: items that are the same type of fabric but
different textures and thicknesses may not have
the same drying time.
●
Quantity of laundry: single items or small loads
may take longer to dry.
●
Dryness: If you are going to iron some of your
clothes, they can be taken out while still a bit
damp. Others can be left longer if you need them
to be completely dry.
●
Heat setting.
●
Room temperature: if the room where the dryer is
located is cold, it will take longer for the dryer to
dry your clothes.
●
Bulk: some bulky items can be tumble dried with
care. We suggest that you remove these items
several times, shake them out, and return them to
the dryer until finished.
! Do not over-dry your clothes.
All fabrics contain a little natural moisture, which
keeps them soft and fluffy.

Warnings and Suggestions

! The appliance has been designed and built according
to international safety standards.
These warnings are given for safety reasons and must
be followed carefully.
General safety
●
This tumble dryer is not intended for use by
children, or people with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
●
This tumble dryer has been designed for home,
and not professional use.
●
Do not touch the appliance while barefoot or with
wet hands or feet.
●
Unplug the machine by pulling on the plug, not
the cord.
●
Children must not be in proximity of the dryer
when in use. After using the dryer, turn it off and
unplug it. Keep the door closed to make sure that
children do not use it as a toy.
●
Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the dryer.
●
The appliance must be installed correctly and
have proper ventilation. The air intake vents
behind the machine, the outlet vents and the vent
tube should never be obstructed (see Installation).

Never direct the vent tube outlet towards the air
intake at the back of the machine.

Never allow the tumble dryer to recycle exhaust air.

Never use the dryer on carpeting where the pile
height would prevent air from entering the dryer

Do not use liquid fabric softeners in the dryer, add

Do not load items that are dripping wet.
Tumble dry items only if they have been washed
with detergent and water, rinsed and been through
the spin cycle. It is a fire hazard to dry items that
HAVE NOT been washed with water.
Carefully check all instructions on clothing labels
(see Laundry).

Do not dry clothes that have been treated with
chemical products.
●
Never dry articles that are contaminated with
flammable substances (cooking oil, acetone, alcohol,
petrol, kerosene, spot removers, turpentine, waxes,
wax removers and hair sprays), unless washed in
hot water with an extra amount of detergent.
●
Do not tumble dry rubber, rubber backed articles and
clothes, pillows fitted with foam rubber pads, foam
(latex foam), rubber, plastic, shower caps, waterproof
textiles, diapers or liners, polythene or paper.
●
Remove all objects from pockets, especially lighters
(risk of explosion).
●
Do not tumble dry large, very bulky items.
●
Do not tumble dry acrylic fibres at high temperatures.
●
Complete each programme with its Cool Tumble Phase.
●
Do not turn off the dryer when there are still warm
items inside.
●
Clean the filter after each use (see Maintenance).
●
Do not allow lint to collect around the dryer.
●
Never climb on top of the dryer. It could result in
damage.
●
Always follow electrical standards and requirements
(see Installation).
●
Always buy original spare parts and accessories
(see Troubleshooting).
! WARNING: Never stop the dryer before the end of the
drying cycle unless all items are quickly removed and
spread out so that the heat is dissipated.
Disposal
●
Disposal of packaging materials: follow local
regulations, so that packaging can be recycled.
●
Disposal of your old dryer: cut the power cord and
remove the door before disposing of an old dryer.
Saving energy and respecting the
environment
●
Wring out items to eliminate excess water before
tumble drying (if you use a washing machine first,
select a high spin cycle). Doing this will save time
and energy during drying.
●
Always dry full loads - you save energy: single
items or small loads take longer to dry.
●
Clean the filter after each use to contain energy
consumption costs (see Maintenance).

When you should switch off the electricity
Unplug the dryer when not using it, when cleaning it
and during maintenance activities.
Clean the filter after each cycle
The filter is an important part of your dryer:
it accumulates lint and fluff that is formed while drying.
Small items could also become trapped in the filter.
When finished drying, therefore, clean the filter by
rinsing it under running water or with your vacuum
cleaner. Should the filter become clogged up, the airflow
inside the dryer will be seriously compromised: drying
times lengthen and you will consume more energy. It
may also damage your dryer.
The filter is found in front
of the dryer trim
(see diagram).
Check the drum after each cycle
Turn the drum manually in order to remove small items
(handkerchiefs) that could have been left behind.
Cleaning the drum
! Do not use abrasives, steel wool or stainless steel
cleaning agents to clean the drum.
A colour film may start to appear on the stainless steel
drum, this may be caused by a combination of water
and, or cleaning agents such as fabric conditioner from
the wash. This colored film will not affect the dryer
performance.
Cleaning the dryer
●
External parts in metal or plastic and rubber parts
can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
●
Periodically check the vent tube and any
permanent venting fixture to make sure that there
has been no accumulation of fluff or lint, and
remove it.
Removing the filter:
1. Pull the plastic grip of
the filter upwards (see
diagram).
2. Clean the filter and
replace it correctly.
Ensure the filter is fully
located flush into the
tumble dryer trim.
! Do not use the dryer without replacing the filter.
●
Remove lint that collects around the filter and the
outlet vents.
! Do not use solvents or abrasives.
! Your dryer uses special bearing components which
do not need lubrication.
! Have your dryer checked regularly by authorized
technicians to ensure electrical and mechanical safety.

Troubleshooting
Before you call our Customer Care Department, go through the following troubleshooting suggestions:

The dryer won’t start.
Its taking a long time to dry.

The plug is not plugged into the socket, or not making contact.
●
There has been a power outage.
●
The fuse has blown.
●
The door is not closed securely?
●
The PROGRAMS knob has not been set properly (see Start and Programs).

The filter has not been cleaned (see Maintenance).
●
The temperature setting is not ideal for the type of fabric you are drying
(see Start and Programs, and see Laundry).
●
Automatic / Sensor Dry programs require a HIGH temperature setting
(see Start and Programs).
●
The correct program has not been selected for this load (see Start and
Programs, and see Laundry).
●
The exhaust duct is obstructed (see Installation).
●
The air intake vent is obstructed (see Installation).
●
The permanent ventilation flap on the storm cover is obstructed (see
Installation).
●
The items were too wet (see Laundry).
●
The dryer was overloaded (see Laundry).
