possibilityof damageor injury,
if youhavenotused hot waterfor
two weeksor more, or moveinto
a residence in which the hot
watersystemmaynot have been
used for some time, turn on all
hot water faucetsand allowthem
to run for severalminutesbefore
using anyelectricalappliance
which is connectedto thehot
water system. This will allow
anyhydrogen gas to escape.
Also, sincethe gas is flammable,
do not smokeor use an open
flame or applianceduring
thisprocess.
