Note: Suburbans and Tahoes, raised or lowered, may require the use of shorter or
longer “dog bones” to properly align the rear sway bar. Included in the 2233
packages are dog bones that are for a stock ride height or up to 2” raised or lowered
vehicle.
The dog bones length and part numbers are:

SUBURBAN/TAHOE 4WD STOCK SWAY BAR REMOVAL

FRONT ONLY

FRONT STOCK BAR REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

*NOTICE HOW THE STOCK SWAY BAR LOOKS i.e. BRACKET PLACEMENT, BENDS, etc.
4WD FRONT SWAY BAR REMOVAL
1) Remove plastic plugs in lower a-arms (late model trucks only) and remove sway bar
end links. (loosen each side first, then remove)
2) Properly raise and support front of vehicle.
3) Remove passenger side front tire.
4) Remove skid plate between front cross-member and front differential.
5) Using a 10mm socket and a 6 inch “wobbly” extension, remove the brackets and
bushings that attach the sway bar to the frame.
6) To remove stock bar, let bar rotate downward, then slide driver’s side of bar
rearward out from under the frame mount pad. Then pull passenger side rearward from frame mount pad. Rotate bar so that the driver’s side of the sway bar is on the top side of the upper a-arm. Then the bar can be rotated up-wards approximately 180 degrees from the stock position. The bar can now be removed through the passenger side. DON’T GIVE UP - IT WILL COME OUT!

*NOTE: The passenger side whee l is off .
1. Install new sway bar by inserting driver’s side of the bar through opening
between lower a-arm and the frame. Rotate counter clockwise until the bar can be positioned with the arms of bar under the upper a-arms. (right side will go under a-arm first) This will allow the bar to be positioned back under the frame mount pads. Don’t give up! It will fit!
