20101 Handle Bar Braces
Installation Instructions
Thank you for your purchase of this Hotchkis Performance product. Your Front Sub-Frame
Brace set was designed with the performance and durability you’ve come to expect from
Hotchkis Performance.
Note: Please read the entire installation instructions before starting. Having the right tools
will ensure a smooth install process.

HANDLE BAR BRACE INSTALLATION
1. Loosen the top A-arm nuts.
Note: Do not completely remove the A-arm nuts and bolts yet.
2. Jack the car up just enough to relieve the A-arm of the weight of the car.
NOTE: The A-arm should now be free to move slightly around the two bolts.
3. Now completely remove the A-arm nuts and bolts.
4. Remove the bolt that fastens the fender to the firewall. This bolt can be
discarded. A new bolt is provided in your kit.

5. Put the Handle Bar Brace in place by inserting the bracket in between the Aarm and the frame of the car.

6. Put the A-arm bolts back into place, making sure they pass though the
Handle Bar Brace bracket. Using the hardware provided, bolt the Brace to
the fender/firewall hole.
NOTE: Do not completely tighten the bolts yet. This will make it easier to install the cross
member.

7. Using the same steps above install the other Handle Bar Brace on the
opposite side.

8. Install the cross member by using the hardware provided and bolting it to
each brace on the cross member bracket. The cross member can be
completely tightened.
NOTE: Be sure to use the washer provided on the cross member bolt.
9. Now tighten the fender/firewall bracket end first and then tighten the A-arm
bracket. Your Handle Bar Brace system is now ready to go.
