User’s manual - This cleaner should on ly be
used for i ts int ended purp ose a s desc ribe d in
these instruct ions. Ensure that these are fully
understood b efore operating this appliance.

Only use att achments recomm ended or
supplied by Hoover.

When using cleaning tools, ensure t hat the
cleaner is kept in t he upright (parked)
position. Th is will avoid possible damage to
the carpet o r floor covering. When cleaning
stairs, DO NOT position the clean er above
you.

STATIC ELECTRICIT Y. Some carpets can
cause a small bui ld up of stat ic elec tric ity. Any
static disch arge is not hazardous to health.

DO NOT use your clea ner out of doors or
on any wet surfac e or for wet pick up.

Keep hands, f eet, loo se c lothi ng and ha ir
away from rotating brushes.

DO NOT pick up hard o r sharp objects,
matches, hot ash es, cigarette end s or other
similar items.

DO NOT pick up flammable liquids suc h as
cleaning f luids, petrol, etc or their vapours.

This appliance is double-insulated and must not
be earthed.

The plug is fitted with a 13 amp fuse.

IMPORTANT:The wires in the mains lead are
coloured in accordance with the fo llowin g
code:

Blue - NEUTRAL
Brown - LIVE

In the unlikely event that any item is missing or you experience any problems with the product,

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS

Aerosol sprays may be flammable. DO
NOT spray near cleaner.

SUPPLY CORD. DO NOT run over the
supply cord w hen using your cleane r or
remove the plug by pull ing on the supply
cord.

FAULTS. DO NOT continue to use your
cle aner i f it a ppear s to b e faulty. If the s upply
cord is damag ed stop using the clea ner
IMMEDIATELY. The supply cord must be
replaced by an aut horised Hoover service
engineer to avoid a s afety hazard.

AFTER USE. Switch the cleaner off and
remove the plug fr om the electric ity supply.
Alw ays swi tch of f and r emove t he plu g befo re
cleaning the appliance or attempting any
maintenance task.

Safe ty w ith child ren, elde rly or th e inf irm: Do
not let ch ildr en p lay with the a pplia nce or its
controls. Pl ease supervise the use of the
appl ianc e by ol der ch ildre n, the elde rly or the
infirm.
