The HOOVER vacuum cleaner you have just purchased is a two speed combination cleaner. It may be used for carpet and floor cleaning and may be
used with cleaning tools for above the floor cleaning.

in the speces provided above and retain in a safe place.
The model number appears adjacent to the ON-OFF switch and the serial
number appears on the top back of the cleaner motor housing.

Unplug cleaner when not in use. Turn machine off at switch before
unplugging.

Always disconnect cord from electrical outlet before servicing the cleaner.

Change bag frequently when picking up very fine materials such as powder.

Grasp the plug to disconnect from wall outlet to avoid damage to cord,
plug, prongs, or receptacle.

The use of an extension cord is not recommended.

If cleaner is in disrepair, do not attempt to operate.

Have repairs made by qualified personnel at Hoover Factory Service Centers
or Authorized Hoover Warranty Service Dealers.

Use vacuum cleaner only for its intended use as described in the instructions.

Unpack the cleaner from
the carton and identify
the parts shown below.
Remove and dispose of
the cardboard packing.

ASSEMBLING
After identifying each
part, you are ready to
begin assembly.
A. Attach handle to
motor housing insert
handle into opening,
lining up slots in handle
latch ring and opening.
Fit metal projection into slot. Turn handle
latch ring clockwise to
secure handle. To remove, turn handle latch
ring counterclockwise
until slot lines up with
metal projection and
slide handle off.
