User’s manual - This cleaner should only be
used for its intended purp ose as described in
these instr uctions. Ensure that these are fully
understood before operating this applianc e.
Only us e attachments recommended or
supplied by Hoover.
When using cleaning tools ensure that the
cleaner is kept in the upr ight (parked)
position. This will avoid possible damage to
the carpet or floor covering. When cleaning
stairs DO NOT position the c leaner above
you.
STATIC ELECT RICIT Y. Some carpets can
cause a small buil d up of static electricity. Any
static discharge is not hazardous to health.
DO NOT use your cleaner out of doors or
on any wet surface or for wet pic k up.
Keep hands, feet, loose clothing and hair
away from rotating brushes.
DO NOT pick up hard or sharp objects,
matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends or other
similar items.
DO NOT pick up flammable liquids such as
cleaning f lui ds, petrol etc. or their vapours.

This appliance is double insulated and must not
earthed.
The plug is fitted with a 13 amp fuse.
IMPORTANT:The wires in the mains lead are
coloured in accordance with the following
code:
Blue - NEUTRAL
Brown - LIVE

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS
Aerosol sprays may be flammable. DO
NOT spray near cleaner.
SUPPLY CORD. DO N OT r un over the
supply cor d when using your cleaner or
remove the plug by pulling on the supply
cord.
FAULTS. DO NOT continue to use your
cleaner if it appears to b e fault y. If the supply
cord is damaged stop using the c leaner
IMMEDIATELY. The supply cord must be
replaced by an author ise d Hoover service
engineer to avoid a safety hazard.
AFTER USE . Switch the c leaner off and
remove the plug from t he electricity supply.
Always switch of f an d remove the plug before
cleaning the appliance or at tempting any
maintenance task.
Safety with children, elderly o r t he inf irm: Do
not let children play with the applianc e or its
contro ls. Please sup ervise the use of the appliance by older children, the elder ly or the
inf irm.”
